Danny \u201czonic\u201d S\u00f8rensen isn\u2019t just a former CS pro \u2014 he\u2019s one of the most decorated coaches in Counter-Strike history. Five Majors with Astralis, a revolution in how teams prepare, and a systematic approach to every aspect of the game. He didn\u2019t just win \u2014 he defined the meta.<\/span><\/p>\n

But after his departure from Vitality, the doubts started to creep in:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Was he ever that good, or just lucky with rosters?<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

When zonic joined Falcons, he was given a hefty budget \u2014 and even heavier expectations. But the journey turned out to be long and painful. Still, he eventually found success.<\/span><\/p>\n

Money in \u2014 but no results<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Falcons rebuilt their core <\/span>three times<\/span><\/i>. There were experiments with veterans like NBK and BOROS, they tried young guns, shuffled roles \u2014 but nothing clicked. No synergy, no consistency, no results. The public mocked:<\/span><\/p>\n

Wasted the sheikhs money, zonic is washed.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

But few realized: he was building a roster for the long run. When Falcons signed the trio from ENCE and brought in Magisk, there was still no faith in the project. The team flopped again \u2014 even a rental of s1mple and signing dupreeh didn\u2019t help. They needed a superstar, someone who would attract other top players, because word was, many simply refused to join the team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Turning point<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Things truly changed when the HEROIC trio \u2014 TeSeS, kyxsan, and degster \u2014 arrived. Alongside Magisk (with whom zonic had already won Majors) and then the big name \u2014 NiKo. On paper, it looked like a championship-caliber team, but in reality? It still struggled. Another wave of hate followed. <\/span>But this time, something was different. zonic\u2019s system was slowly taking shape. Roles, positions, preparation \u2014 it was no longer about improvising. It was a machine being built.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bucharest: the first title<\/strong><\/h2>\n

During PGL Bucharest 2025, rumors surfaced that m0NESY was joining. Falcons started 0-2 in the Swiss stage. But they turned it around, gained momentum, and reached the grand final \u2014 where they defeated G2.<\/span><\/p>\n

    m0NESY and NiKo \u2014 a championship duo<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    When degster left, m0NESY entered \u2014 and the whole team ignited. His chemistry with NiKo, a bond we saw in G2, lit up once again. This wasn\u2019t just a strong pair \u2014 this was a legendary duo that reads each other instinctively and clutches even the most hopeless rounds.<\/span><\/p>\n

    With only a single day of practice, Falcons reached the grand final of IEM Melbourne 2025, nearly taking down Vitality. That\u2019s when the world took notice: Falcons are a serious threat now.<\/span><\/p>\n

    zonic did it again<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Since the rebuild, Falcons have reached a whole new level.\u00a0 Three grand finals in a row. Four finals in 2025.\u00a0 They\u2019re consistently at the top stages, knocking out elite teams and gaining more power with every event.<\/span>\"\"<\/p>\n

    This isn\u2019t just a rich project anymore. This is a top contender at every tournament, a team with a real system, character, and the legendary coach who once again outsmarted everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n

    So to all the skeptics who said, <\/span>\u201cwasted money,\u201d<\/span><\/i> \u201che\u2019s washed,\u201d<\/span><\/i> \u201cveteran signings were a mistake\u201d<\/span><\/i> \u2014 now all you can do is sit back and watch as zonic and Falcons write a brand-new chapter in Counter-Strike history.<\/span><\/p>\n
