On the night of May 14, Valve released a new update for Counter-Strike 2 which, despite its brevity, has major implications for the game\u2019s balance. The patch addresses several key areas \u2014 from game economy to visual improvements. The headline fix is the patching of a money refund bug, widely known in the community as the Scout Refund Exploit. This exploit sparked massive discussion, especially after it was used in a match at the PGL Major Astana 2025.<\/p>\n

Valve officially confirmed the fix of a critical exploit that allowed players to gain an unfair economic advantage. Premier: New Season \u2013 Refreshed Leaderboards<\/h3>\n

Besides the exploit fix, the update also activated global and regional leaderboards for Season 2 of the Premier mode. This now allows players to view their ranking, track their progress, and compete locally and globally.<\/p>\n
