Legendary FaZe Clan captain Finn \u201ckarrigan\u201d Andersen gave a big interview to Skin.Club during the tournament in Austin, which took place in June this year. The Danish IGL shared his impressions of the USA, spoke about working with s1mple, compared him to broky, explained the phenomenon of FaZe comebacks, and even revealed his favorite loadout.<\/p>\n

Atmosphere in Austin<\/h2>\n

\u201cAustin is a very nice city, there\u2019s much more life here than in Dallas or Frisco. The only real downside is the heat. Air conditioning is literally saving my life,\u201d admitted karrigan.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

He also highlighted the friendly atmosphere and the support from fans in the arena:<\/p>\n

\u201cI play for the arenas. This time I just enjoyed the moment and the incredible support of the crowd.\u201d<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

Karrigan commented on the short-term cooperation with s1mple, who joined the roster for the Major:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe built chemistry really quickly. In the group stage, he played some incredible games. Yes, it was tougher for him in the arena, but overall everything worked much better than you could expect in such a short time.\u201d<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

The FaZe captain emphasized that language was not an issue:<\/p>\n

\u201cHis communication was at a high level, only the new callouts took some time to adjust to.\u201d<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cIn 2022\u20132023 he was incredibly strong, and there are some similarities with s1mple. But Sasha has a special gift of reading timings and opponents\u2019 movements.\u201d<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

FaZe\u2019s style and the comeback factor<\/h2>\n

The FaZe leader shared his vision of the game:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe always find a way to win, even when the match isn\u2019t going well. That\u2019s our mentality. I\u2019m not afraid to make risky calls in decisive moments, and that\u2019s what helps us come back into games.\u201d<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

He stressed that team preparation always balances between focusing on FaZe\u2019s own playstyle and adapting to the opponent, but the most important part is believing in their own system.<\/p>\n

Regarding Asian Counter-Strike, karrigan praised The Mongolz:<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir fundamentals are so good. They fully deserve reaching finals and prove that Asia can compete at the top level.\u201d<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

He also noted the progress of young players from NaVi Junior, especially makazze.<\/p>\n

Skins and loadout<\/h2>\n

To wrap up the interview, the FaZe legend shared his CS2 preferences:<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I had to choose one knife for my entire career, it would be the Butterfly Ruby. It\u2019s perfect.\u201d<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

His current loadout includes: M9 Marble Fade, M4A4 Asiimov, AWP Lightning Strike, Glock Fade, and M4A1-S Printstream. He also owns a Karambit Slaughter and Butterfly Ruby, which he sometimes switches between during tournaments.<\/p>\n

When asked about investing in skins, he said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t buy them to make money. For me, it\u2019s like getting new clothes \u2014 to feel fresh in-game. But even then, they turned out to be a good investment.\u201d<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n
