According to many players and analysts, its layout is almost an identical copy of the iconic Inferno map from Counter-Strike 2.<\/p>\n<h3>A new wave of controversy in the Counter-Strike community<\/h3>\n<p>The issue was first pointed out by well-known insider and content creator Gabe Follower, who published map comparisons on social media. FragPunk\u2019s map uses its own visual elements and textures, meaning that technically no assets were stolen. \u201cValve won\u2019t win a lawsuit unless Inferno has a registered trademark,\u201d wrote user Chizuru the Deaf Gamer.<\/li>\n<li class=\"article-list-pink__item\">Supporters of legal action insist that level design should also be considered intellectual property. \u201cImagine if another studio took Nuketown from Call of Duty and inserted it into their own game. That\u2019s an obvious violation,\u201d replied Gabe Follower.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>The debate over Valve\u2019s double standards<\/h3>\n<p>At the center of the discussion is Valve\u2019s own policy. The company has often been accused of a double standard: fan-made mods and projects based on Counter-Strike (such as CS: Classic Offensive or community remasters of old maps) are frequently shut down for \u201ccopyright infringement,\u201d while large corporations seem to face far less pressure.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"custom-bq\"><div class=\"custom-bq-q\"><p>Gabe Follower clarified: Valve won\u2019t openly get into conflict with another big publisher. But then they need to be consistent: either stop killing community projects for the same reasons, or go all the way.
