BLAST Open London 2025 has gifted us one of the brightest stories of the season \u2014 the rise of Nikita \u201cHeavyGod\u201d Martynenko, a Ukrainian talent who joined G2 from Cloud9 at the start of the year and is already shaping the image of the team\u2019s new leader. In the quarter-final against FaZe, he was the central figure: the series ended 2-0 in G2\u2019s favor, and HeavyGod closed it with an impressive 1.48 rating.<\/p>\n

Self-criticism as a driving force<\/h3>\n

Paradoxically, despite this success and a stable average rating of 1.16 this season, HeavyGod refuses to let himself relax. His words after the match reveal the character of a player who lives not by stats, but by his sense of true effectiveness:<\/p>\n

There are easy kills that I sometimes miss. It annoys me. I\u2019m too harsh on myself \u2014 everybody tells me this, but it\u2019s my way. I\u2019m trying to be a perfect player. I know it\u2019s impossible, but I strive to go higher and higher.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

With the arrival of the former ENCE leader, the team \u2014 once dependent on the individual brilliance of NiKo and m0NESY \u2014 finally gained a clear in-game structure. A collective instead of a superstar<\/h3>\n
