MIBR IMPOSE SANCTIONS ON KL1M FOR RACIST INCIDENT<\/h2>\n

On the night of September 8, during a ranked FACEIT match in South America, an incident shook the CS2 scene. MIBR\u2019s newcomer, 19-year-old Russian AWPer Klimentii \u201ckl1m\u201d Krivosheev, called his opponent a \u201cmonkey\u201d in a heated exchange. The word carries a strong racist connotation in Brazil and Latin America, and the situation immediately sparked a wave of criticism.
\nIn their official statement, MIBR said they \u201cfirmly repudiate any form of prejudice \u2014 racism, xenophobia, or discrimination of any kind.\u201d The club emphasized that the player\u2019s remark \u201cis unacceptable and does not reflect the organization\u2019s values.\u201d<\/p>\n

MIBR confirmed that kl1m would face internal disciplinary measures and undergo a racial and cultural literacy program focused on Brazil\u2019s history and social challenges. The club also stressed that any repetition \u201cwill not be tolerated.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the US or Europe, the word \u2018monkey\u2019 often just means \u2018stupid\u2019 or \u2018bad player.\u2019 I don\u2019t think he meant anything racist.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

OFFICIAL POSITION OF THE BRAZILIAN ORGANIZATION<\/h2>\n

The organization quickly reacted with an official statement on its social networks:<\/p>\n

We firmly condemn any form of prejudice \u2014 racism, xenophobia, or discrimination. The language used is unacceptable and does not represent our organization\u2019s values.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

MIBR announced that kl1m would:<\/p>\n
