The Romanian tournament organizer PGL continues to strengthen its position on the professional Counter-Strike 2 scene. The organization has officially confirmed the hosting of 15 Tier-1 tournaments during 2027\u20132028, making a statement that could be considered the most ambitious in CS history.<\/p>\n

PGL sets the pace for a new Counter-Strike era<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Since the release of CS2, the professional tournament ecosystem has been undergoing gradual reform \u2014 from the abolition of franchised leagues to the return of an open participation model. PGL, which has remained one of the most influential organizers since the CS:GO era, is now effectively taking on the role of a driving force behind the new tournament cycle, shaping the foundation of the future esports calendar.<\/p>\n

PGL will host six independent tournaments and provide English-language coverage for the Counter-Strike Asia Championships 2027, scheduled for August. The new dates span nearly the entire competitive season \u2014 from January to October:<\/p>\n
