IEM Rio Major winner Aleksei \u201cQikert\u201d Golubev has officially confirmed the end of his stint with MIBR and announced his readiness to return to the captain role. After a three-month loan, the Brazilian chapter of his career has come to an end, and the player has openly stated that he is now looking for a new team specifically as an IGL.<\/p>\n

End of the loan and a difficult stretch of the season<\/h3>\n

Qikert joined MIBR in September 2025 amid the team\u2019s international transition. The period proved challenging for both the roster and the player himself: a 0.94 average rating and an elimination at Stage 2 of the StarLadder Budapest Major following losses to Imperial, Passion UA, and Liquid. The Major capped off a series of disappointing events toward the end of the year, though Qikert has urged against drawing hasty conclusions.<\/p>\n\n

Public statement: returning to the IGL role<\/h3>\n

In a post on social media, Qikert emphasized that the season was \u201cstrange\u201d and didn\u2019t allow any of the MIBR players to show their true level. According to him, the right conclusions have already been drawn, and the foundation for a future team is ready:<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t rush to judge me based on this season. Judge me and my future team by results: playbook, structure, protocols, reactions, vision \u2014 everything needed to build a strong team is ready.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

The player also confirmed that after the Major he made a final decision to return to the captain role, which he had previously held with Into the Breach and PARIVISION.<\/p>\n

Open to international options<\/h3>\n

Qikert additionally stressed that he is open to international offers and already holds valid Schengen and U.S. visas for the next five years. His goal remains unchanged:<\/p>\n

I know I\u2019m capable of more, and I\u2019m ready to prove it. My goal is to return to Tier-1 tournaments and compete at the highest level.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n
