In 2014, when Counter-Strike Global Offensive was still taking its baby steps, Virtus.pro was the best team in the world. A Polish stack of pashaBiceps, TaZ, Snax, byali, and NEO had already etched their legacy in the nascent world of Counter-Strike. The winner of the first CSGO Major, EMS Katowice 2014, would go on to remain a top four team for four more years. Virtus.pro had become a household name, and even after the era of the Polish super-team came to an end, Virtus.pro found new life with an international roster led by Jame.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

A fresh start with Jame<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It was a fresh start for Virtus.pro. With a talented prospect in YEKINDAR, who was arguably the best entry fragger in the world at the time, and Jame, a composed IGL with a calm demeanour who had already proven himself in AVANGAR. And in less than a year, the two led Virtus.pro to a peak rank of #3 by March 2021. A lot was credited to YEKINDAR at the time, who was carrying much of the load for the team.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, several months after the Virtus.pro roster began to play under the name of Outsiders, YEKINDAR left, and after the rebuild, Virtus.pro transitioned into a complete Russian roster. The year 2022 ended in high spirits for the team led by Jame, who also earned the spotlight as the #1 team during November. And then soon after, the roster of Outsiders returned to playing under the Virtus.pro tag. And that is where the turbulence started for Virtus.pro in 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

A six man lineup came to Virtus.pro, including Jame, FL1T, fame, Qikert, KaiR0N, and n0rb3r7 on bench in March of 2023. Then in April, KaiR0N parted ways, putting n0rb3r7 into the active lineup. Then in July, n0rb3r7 was again moved to the substitute role and mir was placed on the active lineup. In August, Qikert was benched and n0rb3r7 was once again asked to fill in. In April of next year, mir was also benched, marking the end of a 1.05 rated tenure at Virtus.pro, and electroNic joined the roster.<\/span><\/p>\n

Virtus.pro also changed their coach twice in the same season, and by the end of the year, they made two changes. One was n0rb3r7, who was put on the bench once again, but the other, comparatively bigger one, was the IGL Jame. It was an understandable decision. Virtus.pro had fallen to the lower end of the top-15, and Jame was struggling individually to even put up a 1.05 rating. But the shock came when the management decided to put electroNic in charge of leading the team.<\/span><\/p>\n

electroNic becomes the IGL for Virtus.pro<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It was a tricky decision, with electroNic not having a lot of experience leading a team. It\u2019s not like there weren\u2019t prospects available in the Russian pool, but deciding to go with electroNic, who was also averaging only a 1.02 rating before transitioning to the IGL role, felt like a gamble. However, expectations faded quickly. Apart from PGL Bucharest 2025, Virtus.pro couldn\u2019t even secure a single top-8 finish.<\/span><\/p>\n

The team had gotten ICY and FL4MUS at the start of the year to replace Jame and n0rb3r7, and it didn\u2019t take long before FL4MUS was benched in June. Surprisingly, the team brought in PERFECTO, who had been inactive for over a year. And then, by August 2025, when even the electroNic move didn\u2019t work out, the team decided to bench him. By October, ICY was also sidelined. One would expect the team to learn from their past mistakes and either sign a young prospect or an established IGL to lead the roster, but not Virtus.pro. In another surprising move, Virtus.pro decided to hand the reins to PERFECTO this time.<\/span><\/p>\n
