Astralis opened their ESL Pro League Season 23 Stage 2 campaign with a convincing 2\u20130 victory over FUT Esports, controlling both maps from start to finish. The Danish side secured Ancient 13\u20136 and Mirage 13\u20133, with Victor \u201cStaehr\u201d Staehr leading the server and earning the Player of the Match award. FUT struggled to find openings against Astralis\u2019 disciplined defense and structured mid-round play.<\/p>\n

The opening map, Ancient, was Astralis\u2019 pick and immediately showed why they were comfortable on the map. Astralis controlled the tempo from the very first gun rounds, applying constant pressure on FUT\u2019s defensive positions. Strong opening duels from Staehr and phzy repeatedly gave Astralis early advantages, forcing FUT into difficult retake situations.<\/p>\n

While FUT attempted to stabilize through slower defaults and utility-heavy executes, Astralis consistently denied map control and punished every mistake. Their coordination around mid and A site proved especially effective, preventing FUT from building any momentum. By the time the second half began, Astralis had already built a comfortable lead and closed the map 13\u20136 without allowing FUT to mount a comeback.<\/p>\n\n

If Ancient showed Astralis\u2019 structure, Mirage highlighted their firepower. The Danish lineup completely dismantled FUT on the CT side, shutting down nearly every execute attempt. Staehr once again delivered impact rounds, while ryu and jabbi provided consistent support in defensive setups.<\/p>\n
