Aurora showcased dominant firepower and control throughout their series, while FaZe relied on experience and composure to survive a tense elimination match. Both results significantly reshaped the Swiss standings heading into the next round.<\/p>\n

Path through the tournament<\/h3>\n

The results reshaped the standings in ESL Pro League Season 23 Stage 2. With the victory over paiN, Aurora improved to 2\u20131, putting the team just one win away from playoff qualification. Earlier in Stage 2 they had already beaten Legacy, and the win over paiN further strengthened their position in the Swiss bracket. For paiN, the defeat drops them to 1\u20132, sending the Brazilian roster into the elimination bracket where every match will now be a must-win.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, FaZe stayed alive after their 2\u20130 victory over Monte. Following earlier losses to G2 and paiN, the international lineup finally secured their first win and now move to the 1\u20132 bracket. For Monte, the defeat means elimination from the tournament. The team finishes Stage 2 with a 0\u20133 record after losses to NAVI, Legacy, and FaZe.<\/p>\n\n

Aurora continued their strong run in Stage 2 with a convincing victory over paiN, controlling the pace of both maps and shutting down the Brazilian side\u2019s attempts to build momentum.<\/p>\n

Nuke \u2014 Aurora take control (13\u20139)<\/h3>\n

The series began on Nuke, where paiN hoped their map pick would give them an early advantage. Instead, Aurora\u2019s defensive structure quickly dictated the flow of the game. Aurora repeatedly denied paiN\u2019s outside control, forcing slow and predictable executions. XANTARES and woxic delivered crucial multi-frag rounds that prevented paiN from stabilizing their economy. Despite a few successful mid-round calls from paiN, Aurora consistently won the key duels and closed the map 13\u20139.<\/p>\n

Overpass \u2014 total domination (13\u20137)<\/h3>\n

The second map Overpass turned even more one-sided. Aurora\u2019s CT side completely dismantled paiN\u2019s offensive structure. Aggressive connector control and confident rotations shut down most of paiN\u2019s executes before they could even develop. The Turkish squad never allowed their opponents to find rhythm and comfortably closed the map 13\u20137, sealing the 2\u20130 sweep.<\/p>\n
