Because of its low price, Five-SeveN allows CT teams to buy extra utility, armor, and create dangerous half-buy or force-buy rounds. In his view, this gives the defending side too much economic flexibility in CS2\u2019s MR12 format.<\/p>\n<h3>Community Pushes Back<\/h3>\n<p>Many players in the replies defended the Five-SeveN. Some argued that the pistol is only strong at close range and still requires smart positioning.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"article-list-pink\">\n<li class=\"article-list-pink__item\">Nothing to fix here. If you lose to a Five-SeveN at close range with a Galil, that\u2019s on you.<\/li>\n<li class=\"article-list-pink__item\">The gun is perfect. If Five-SeveN is too strong, then buff CZ75 or P250 instead.<\/li>\n<li class=\"article-list-pink__item\">Why do we have to nerf everything in this game? Pistols already struggle against AKs, Galils, and AWPs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Others supported STYKO, saying it feels wrong for a fully bought rifle to lose against a $500 pistol in close-range fights.<\/p>\n<h3>Suggested Nerfs from the Community<\/h3>\n<p>Some of the most common ideas included:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"article-list-pink\">\n<li class=\"article-list-pink__item\">increasing the price to $600\u2013700<\/li>\n<li class=\"article-list-pink__item\">reducing the magazine from 20 to 12\u201315 bullets<\/li>\n<li class=\"article-list-pink__item\">stronger damage falloff at medium range<\/li>\n<li class=\"article-list-pink__item\">worse movement accuracy<\/li>\n<li class=\"article-list-pink__item\">removing close-range one-shot headshot potential through armor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Valve has not commented on the discussion so far.<\/p>\n<h3>Why It Matters Now<\/h3>\n<p>Valve has recently pushed several major CS2 updates, including AnimGraph 2, networking improvements, FPS optimization, and other balance changes. Because of that, many players believe pistol balance could be the next target.
