The semi-final between Falcons and MOUZ at CS Asia Championships 2026 delivered a tense three-map battle as Falcons recovered after losing Mirage to secure a 2-1 victory and advance to the grand final. Nikola \u201cNiKo\u201d Kova\u010d led the European superteam in the decisive moments, while MOUZ once again fell short against one of the tournament favorites.<\/p>\n

Teams\u2019 paths through the tournament<\/h3>\n

Falcons reached the semi-final after victories over M80, Legacy, and BC.Game during the tournament. In the playoffs, they first survived a dramatic overtime series against FURIA before defeating MOUZ to secure a place in the grand final.<\/p>\n

MOUZ had a much harder route through the event. After an early loss to TYLOO, they dropped into the lower bracket and fought back with consecutive wins over NRG, M80, paiN, and B8. However, their lower-bracket run ended after the 1-2 defeat against Falcons in the semi-final.<\/p>\n\n

MOUZ dominate Mirage to open the series<\/h3>\n

The series started on Mirage, where MOUZ completely controlled the pace of the game. Lotan \u201cSpinx\u201d Giladi and Adrian \u201cxeleX\u201d Vincze repeatedly punished Falcons\u2019 defensive setups, while Dorian \u201cxertioN\u201d Berman constantly created opening advantages around mid control.<\/p>\n

Falcons looked uncomfortable throughout the map and struggled to find consistency on the CT side. MOUZ comfortably secured Mirage 13-7 and immediately put pressure on Falcons heading into map two.<\/p>\n

Falcons respond confidently on Dust2<\/h3>\n

Dust2 completely shifted the momentum of the series. Falcons looked far sharper from the opening rounds and constantly shut down MOUZ\u2019s attempts to control the map early.<\/p>\n

Nikola \u201cNiKo\u201d Kova\u010d delivered several crucial multi-kill rounds, while Maksim \u201ckyousuke\u201d Lukin repeatedly opened bombsites during the T side. Falcons quickly built a large lead and never allowed MOUZ back into the game. The European squad closed Dust2 13-7 to equalize the series.<\/p>\n

Nuke became the most competitive map of the series. Both teams traded rounds during the first half, but Falcons eventually gained control thanks to stronger late-round execution and more stable defensive setups.<\/p>\n

MOUZ attempted several comeback rounds behind xeleX and torzsi, but Falcons consistently won the critical clutch situations late in the game. NiKo and TeSeS secured multiple important rounds during the second half, allowing Falcons to close Nuke 13-10 and secure the series 2-1.<\/p>\n

NiKo becomes the difference-maker<\/h3>\n

Nikola \u201cNiKo\u201d Kova\u010d finished as the best player of the series with a 1.42 rating and 88.5 ADR. kyousuke also played a major role in the victory with several impactful entries across Dust2 and Nuke. For MOUZ, xeleX remained their strongest player with a 1.19 rating, while torzsi also delivered several important rounds despite the elimination.<\/p>\n

After the loss, Dorian \u201cxertioN\u201d Berman admitted on X that MOUZ came extremely close to forcing a different result:<\/p>\n

Fuck man so close 1-2 Falcons, GGWP and gl in the finals! I could have called better today and I didn\u2019t.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>\n

Finn \u201ckarrigan\u201d Andersen also reacted after the victory and praised his team\u2019s recovery following the poor Mirage performance:<\/p>\n
