In the short distance of a Major Swiss stage, one bad evening can instantly change the entire mood around a team. Especially when, instead of stabilizing after an opening setback, the roster only sinks deeper into the tournament\u2019s crisis zone.<\/p>\n

Tournament context<\/strong><\/h2>\n

IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 2 is played in a Swiss format, where teams split according to their balance of wins and losses. Matches between teams at 0:1 carry extra weight: the winner evens out its position at 1:1, while the loser falls into the 0:2 pool and ends up one step away from elimination.<\/p>\n

In this slot, paiN and BIG faced each other.
