In the early stage of a Major, it is still possible to talk about random setbacks, but only until the moment when a second consecutive loss puts a team into survival mode. That is when an isolated bad match stops being just an episode and becomes a full-scale tournament problem.<\/p>\n

IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 2 is played in a Swiss format, where teams gradually separate according to their balance of wins and losses. Matches between rosters with a 0:1 record are critically important: a win returns a team to the workable 1:1 pool, while a loss sends it to 0:2 \u2014 one step away from elimination.<\/p>\n
