Every transfer window has a first domino, and this one is easy to name. karrigan leaving FaZe for Falcons after IEM Rio is the move that tipped the board over. It benched kyxsan, freed up an IGL chair in North Macedonian form, forced FaZe into a leadership reshuffle under Twistzz, and then, just to rub it in, the Falcons side that absorbed karrigan went and won the IEM Cologne Major 2026. NiKo finally got his Major, m0NESY took MVP, and a roster that had collected six second-place finishes without a trophy suddenly had validation.<\/span><\/p>\n

That is the backdrop for the post-Cologne free agency: a scene where Vitality have spent the year as the benchmark, where a clutch of big-name orgs have nothing to show for 2026, and where three rumours in particular tell you how differently teams are reading their own problems. FaZe are chasing firepower. Liquid are chasing a brain. BC.Game are chasing structure. Let\u2019s look at them.<\/span><\/p>\n

FaZe: +MartinezSa -broky<\/h2>\n

KRL and HLTV reported that FaZe are targeting Gentle Mates AWPer MartinezSa, with HLTV noting the org has not locked in who gets cut. In practice this reads as a broky move, and the timing is convenient. Gentle Mates are in negotiations to sell their roster and leave Counter-Strike, so Martinez is about to be a free agent. woxic has also been floated as an alternative.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the hard part of the evaluation, because Martinez has been excellent inside a small pond. Gentle Mates spent 2026 bouncing to a peak of #15 VRS, and Martinez was comfortably their best player and AWP. If you look at his performance, he averages a 1.04 against top 10, a 1.06 against top 20 opponents, with some standout results against FURIA (1.19 rating), HEROIC (1.60 rating), and G2 (1.26 rating).<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, what about the fit. Does it fit on need? Yes. broky is one of the great FaZe stories historically, a four-time Top 20 player (peaking at #6 in 2022) and the first Latvian to win a Major. He even authored a genuine late-2025 redemption arc in the Budapest Major run that took FaZe to a top-2 finish. But 2026 collapsed team-wide. FaZe slid to a 3-10 start, got dumped out of BLAST Open by TYLOO, and missed Cologne entirely. When a roster bottoms out like that, the org either rebuilds the core or refreshes the position that has cooled, and broky\u2019s dip plus his age profile makes the AWP the logical refresh. Martinez offers a younger, higher-ceiling, fragging-AWP profile, which is exactly what a Twistzz-led rebuild around frozen wants.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the risk is tier translation. Going from carrying Gentle Mates to playing a defined AWP role next to established stars is a real adjustment, and FaZe\u2019s whole 2026 problem has been that their stars stopped covering for weak links rather than the other way around. There is genuine uncertainty about whether the aim travels up two tiers, and by FaZe still not signalling whether this is one change or the start of several.<\/span><\/p>\n

Liquid: +JT -siuhy<\/h2>\n

Dust2.us, corroborated by HLTV, reported Liquid are in the final stages of signing Passion UA IGL JT to replace siuhy, who would head to the bench after running the team since April 2025. The same report says Liquid also want to upgrade on ultimate, though that process is less advanced.<\/span><\/p>\n

JT carried a 1.00 HLTV rating across 167 maps on Passion UA, which is a respectable line for a primary caller rather than a fragger. The case for the swap is mostly about what is being replaced. Liquid\u2019s 2026 has been bleak: no S-tier playoff appearances, among the worst T-side win rates in the entire scene, a 2-3 Stage 1 exit at Cologne after a round-five loss to FlyQuest, and a slide to roughly #38 in the world. siuhy could barely frag through the back half of last season\u2019s Major, and his individual spots reportedly overlapped with EliGE\u2019s, which is the kind of structural friction a new IGL can untangle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Does it fit? Stylistically, better than people give it credit for. Several Liquid fans argue JT\u2019s roles do not clash with EliGE the way siuhy\u2019s did, and one floated him as a top-20-calibre IGL who simply needs a real roster and time, the exact conditions he had at Complexity. The headline sweetener is the reunion \u2013 JT and EliGE were a productive pairing in Complexity, they have been queueing together on FACEIT since Liquid\u2019s Major elimination, and both now live in Warsaw.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But this is the move the community trusts least, and the skepticism is fair. The loudest read is that Liquid keep rotating the same five or six names every six months without touching the actual problem, which a chunk of the forum pins on the coaching, the management, and the AWP slot rather than the caller. JT is not a fragging IGL, so if ultimate stays, Liquid will have swapped one low-impact spot for another and still asked EliGE and NAF to carry. There is also a communication wrinkle: JT spent his Passion UA tenure calling in a multinational setup, and even a sympathetic forum take noted he was effectively learning to call to fluent English speakers for the first time at the top level. In essence, it is a defensible, role-coherent IGL upgrade that is being asked to fix a problem bigger than the IGL slot.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BC.Game: +kyxsan<\/h2>\n

BC.Game CEO akofocus has spent weeks teasing a tier-1 IGL who was meant to debut at IEM Atlanta. After the karrigan-to-Falcons chain, that target became obvious. As of June 19, the framing from the org is that kyxsan needs time to weigh other options and has not said no, with the CEO publicly stating it comes down to contract details and that they have a fallback if talks fail.<\/span><\/p>\n

kyxsan is an IGL, so judging him on raw rating misses the point. The resume is real: he led Falcons to PGL Bucharest 2025, their only Counter-Strike trophy, plus second-place finishes at IEM Melbourne 2025, BLAST Rivals Spring 2025, and January\u2019s BLAST Bounty Finals. The counterweight is the persistent doubt about how much of that was him. Many watchers have been critical, framing him as a tier-2.5 player who slotted into a superstar lineup with Falcons\u2019 T sides looking shaky throughout. kyxsan\u2019s own exit line, that the benching felt unfair because the team was promised time, tells you he disputes that read.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Falcons\"<\/p>\n

For BC.Game, this is the cleanest fit of the three on paper. The org has had a chaotic year: they benched aragorN and MUTiRiS, leaned on a Senzu who has been debuting in an international roster, reportedly tried and failed to buy B1T from NAVI, and benched krazy, all while patching the lineup with assistant coach ScrunK as a stand-in. A team in that state does not need another star, it needs someone to impose a structure and a stratbook, and that is precisely the job kyxsan was doing at Falcons before the firepower around him made it look easy.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the risk is the motivation and ceiling. The honest question is whether a caller who may have been flattered by NiKo and m0NESY can lift a rebuild project on his own, without that safety net, and whether he even wants to drop from a top org\u2019s orbit to a team mid-reconstruction. The hesitation in the reporting, the \u201cneeds to think\u201d framing, is the tell. A reluctant signing is rarely the foundation of a turnaround.The need and the skill set line up almost perfectly, and a genuine tier-1 caller is a clear level-up for BC.Game.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The rest of the board<\/h2>\n

There are still a lot of rumours still bubbling. frozen to NAVI in place of iM has legs, and frozen lit the fuse himself with a pointed post about FaZe getting the results their year deserved. Aurora are reportedly abandoning the all-Turkish project to go international, with Aleksib and molodoy among the names linked. And 3DMAX\u2019s French core is said to be on the market, with CS:GO-legacy brands Envy, TSM, and Luminosity circling.<\/span><\/p>\n
