Astralis booked their place in the BLAST Bounty Season 2 Finals semifinals after defeating paiN Gaming 2-1 in one of the longest and most competitive series of the tournament. The Brazilian side struck first on Nuke, but Astralis answered with an overtime victory on Inferno before closing out Mirage to secure a place in the final four in Malta.<\/p>\n

paiN arrived in Malta after defeating Gentle Mates 2-0 in the online stage. Before facing Astralis, the Brazilian squad had also beaten Ninjas in Pyjamas to qualify for the LAN playoffs, but their campaign ended in the quarterfinals despite pushing Astralis across 89 rounds.<\/p>\n

Astralis continued their strong run after eliminating HOTU 2-1 in online stage. The victory over paiN sends the Danish roster into the semifinals, where they remain in contention for the BLAST Bounty Season 2 title.<\/p>\n\n

The series started on Nuke, selected by paiN, and the Brazilians made the better start. Led by Vinicius \u201cvsm\u201d Moreira and Guilherme \u201cpiriajr\u201d Barbosa, paiN controlled the key rounds and secured a 13-10 victory to move within one map of the semifinals.<\/p>\n

Astralis fought back on Inferno, their own map pick. The teams traded rounds throughout regulation before the match went into overtime, where the Danish squad kept their composure to claim a dramatic 19-17 win and force a decider.<\/p>\n

The deciding map, Mirage, proved just as close. Neither side managed to pull away for long, but Astralis once again delivered in the crucial moments, edging out a 16-14 victory after overtime to complete the reverse sweep.<\/p>\n
