Spirit\u2019s BLAST Bounty result raised questions, but the overall ceiling of the roster remains extremely high. donk continues to be one of the most dangerous players in the world, while sh1ro gives Spirit another elite-level win condition. Paris will show whether their previous event was simply an early-season setback.<\/p>\n
FURIA enter EWC after proving that they can compete deep into the biggest tournaments. Their Major run significantly raised expectations, and the combination of FalleN\u2019s leadership with molodoy and KSCERATO gives the Brazilian roster enough quality to challenge any opponent.<\/p>\n
NAVI are one of the tournament\u2019s biggest unknowns. They have not played an official event since the Major, giving B1ad3 and the roster almost two months to prepare. That break could produce a more polished version of NAVI, but their match form after such a long period without competition remains difficult to judge.<\/p>\n
9z have made one of the biggest climbs of the season. A young roster built around dgt, meyern, luchov and HUASOPEEK has continued to produce results, while BIT\u2019s team has moved much closer to the established elite. EWC will be another major test of whether that rise can continue against the strongest opposition in the world.<\/p>\n MOUZ still have enough quality to compete with elite teams, but consistency has prevented them from entering the tournament as one of the main favorites. The new-look roster around torzsi, Spinx and xertioN remains dangerous, particularly if its individual pieces peak at the same time.<\/p>\n Aurora have plenty of firepower through XANTARES, woxic and Jimpphat and remain one of the strongest teams outside the leading group. Their ceiling is high enough for a deep run, although they still need to demonstrate that level consistently against the very best teams.<\/p>\n FaZe remain unpredictable. Their experience and individual quality make them dangerous in any playoff bracket, but the current roster has not yet shown enough stability to place them alongside the strongest contenders.<\/p>\n G2 are in a similar position. The lineup has substantial individual potential with huNter-, NertZ, r1nkle and HeavyGod, but EWC represents another important test of how effectively the roster can translate that talent into results.<\/p>\n Astralis continue their rebuild with HooXi leading a roster featuring jabbi, Staehr and phzy. There have been positive signs, but Paris will provide a much stronger test of how far the new lineup has progressed.<\/p>\n BetBoom still have considerable firepower with Boombl4, zorte and Magnojez, although recent changes have made their level harder to predict. Their ceiling remains high enough to fight for the playoffs.<\/p>\n The MongolZ are no longer an underdog in the traditional sense. Their international results have established them as a legitimate playoff-level team, and another deep run would no longer come as a major surprise.<\/p>\n PARIVISION complete the tier after another roster adjustment. With FL1T and fame providing significant experience and firepower, the new lineup has enough potential to challenge stronger teams if it adapts quickly.<\/p>\n Legacy and paiN add further depth to the South American field. Both have enough individual talent to compete internationally, but EWC will require another step forward to challenge the strongest teams consistently.<\/p>\n FUT arrive with a young roster led by xfl0ud and dem0n, while BIG continue to rely on tabseN\u2019s leadership around a lineup that has shown improvement without establishing itself among the elite.<\/p>\n B8 remain one of the most interesting young teams in the tournament. Their Ukrainian core has already produced strong international results, and EWC gives them another opportunity to test that progress against a much deeper field.<\/p>\n 3DMAX remain a difficult opponent with an experienced French lineup, while matic enter Paris as another team capable of punishing stronger opponents if given an opportunity.<\/p>\n TYLOO and Lynn Vision carry China\u2019s main hopes at the event. Both are capable of playing competitive series internationally, although surviving a tournament filled with top European and American opposition will be a much more difficult challenge.<\/p>\n GamerLegion continue to rebuild around another young lineup, while MIBR have enough experience to make the group stage uncomfortable for higher-ranked opponents.<\/p>\n 100 Thieves arrive as one of the most interesting teams from the open qualifier. Their new project already produced an important result simply by reaching EWC, and the opening BO1 format gives them another opportunity to create an upset.<\/p>\n M80 are another potential wildcard. Their results have not placed them among the leading contenders, but the roster has enough experience to take advantage of an unstable group.<\/p>\n NIP are still searching for stability despite further changes to the lineup. There is individual talent available, but their recent results have not yet shown enough progress to expect a deep run in Paris.<\/p>\n K27 and JiJieHao deserve credit for reaching the tournament through qualification, but the level of opposition at the main event represents a significant jump. Their best opportunity may come in the BO1 opening matches, where a strong map can completely change the group.<\/p>\n Luminosity face a similar problem. The roster remains relatively inexperienced compared with most of the field and will need multiple upsets to reach the playoff stage.<\/p>\n Wildcard round out the tier after entering EWC as one of the lowest-ranked teams in attendance. Even reaching the Round of 16 would represent a major result given the strength of the field.<\/p>\n EWC arrives at a moment when the hierarchy for the second half of 2026 is still being established. Vitality need to respond after Cologne, Falcons are still searching for greater consistency, Spirit need to recover from their Bounty disappointment, and NAVI are returning after almost two months without official matches. FURIA and 9z have an opportunity to confirm that their recent rise is sustainable, while teams such as Aurora, G2, MOUZ and The MongolZ are trying to close the gap to the leading contenders.<\/p>\n The tournament also brings together several rapidly developing regions. South America is represented by FURIA, 9z, Legacy, paiN and MIBR, while TYLOO, Lynn Vision and The MongolZ give the Asian scene several opportunities to make another international breakthrough. With 32 teams, opening BO1s and a 16-team single-elimination playoff bracket, EWC leaves very little room for mistakes.
