Three Maps in the Veto, Two Decided the Series<\/h2>

During the veto, DENDELE removed Dust2 first, and Aurora responded by banning Ancient. DENDELE then picked Cache, while Aurora countered with Mirage. After DENDELE removed Anubis and Aurora removed Inferno, Nuke was left over as the potential decider.<\/p>

On Cache, Aurora set the tone immediately, winning 13-7 with a strong 7-5 first half and a dominant 6-2 second half. The Turkish and Finnish mix on Aurora’s side controlled the map’s key sites throughout, and DENDELE struggled to find answers on the CT side.<\/p>

Mirage followed a similar path, though DENDELE pushed harder this time. Aurora edged the map 16-12, losing the first half 5-7 before flipping the script with a 7-5 second half. As a result, the match went to overtime, where Aurora sealed it with a clean 4-0 run.<\/p>

Jimmphat Salo Named Match MVP<\/h2>

Aurora’s Jimmphat Salo earned MVP honors with a 1.49 rating, the highest mark on either roster. He finished the series 39-21 in kills-deaths, posted a 91.6 ADR, and held an 83.3% KAST. His performance carried Aurora through both maps and set the standard for his teammates.<\/p>

VRS Rankings Shift for Both Teams<\/h2>

Aurora entered the match with 1,559 VRS points, sitting at rank #13. The win added 37 points, pushing them up to 1,596 points and moving them one spot up the rankings to #12.<\/p>

DENDELE, meanwhile, had 1,385 points and sat at rank #30 heading into the match. The loss cost them 8 points, dropping their total to 1,377 and pushing them down one spot to rank #31.<\/p>

A Costly Exit for DENDELE, a Step Forward for Aurora<\/h2>

DENDELE’s elimination places them in the 13-16th place bracket at BLAST Open Porto 2026, earning the roster $5,000 in prize money plus a $15,000 club share. It is a modest financial return, but it also marks an early end to their tournament ambitions after just one lower bracket appearance.<\/p>

For Aurora, however, the picture looks far brighter. The win sends them into the lower bracket semifinal, where they will face whichever team loses the upcoming M80 vs FURIA match.
