BC.Game have already lost five qualifying tournaments in a row, but Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas does not believe that the team has exhausted its potential. According to him, the roster’s main problem right now lies not so much in individual level as in mental resilience: the team regularly loses control in key rounds, closes matches poorly, and has not yet fully built its own system.<\/p>

Mental resilience became the main problem<\/strong><\/h2>

TaZ directly admitted that BC.Game fall apart too often exactly when the match enters its decisive phase. The team can gain an advantage and come close to victory, but after several unsuccessful decisions, it begins to lose confidence and give away rounds that it should already have been controlling.<\/p>

We definitely need to work on mental resilience, because this is one of the main reasons why we ended up in this position at all.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>

For the coach, this does not look like one separate unsuccessful match, but like a systemic problem. BC.Game need to learn how to stay composed specifically in situations where the score and pressure have the maximum impact on players’ decisions.<\/p>

One round on Nuke became telling<\/strong><\/h2>

One of the most painful examples TaZ named was an episode from the first qualifier, when BC.Game had a 2v1 situation on match point on Nuke, but could not close it. One lost round effectively became the point after which the team lost control of the series.<\/p>

We had the advantage, but we could not stay calm at the moment when the match was already practically in our hands.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>

According to the coach, these are exactly the situations that best show the team’s current state. The problem is not that BC.Game are unable to create favorable scenarios at all, but that for now they too often fail to bring them to a logical conclusion.<\/p>

The team has not yet learned the entire playbook<\/strong><\/h2>

In addition to psychology, TaZ also acknowledged obvious structural shortcomings. The players still do not keep the entire playbook in their heads, while some rounds, utility, and timings are still not drilled enough for stable play at a high level.<\/p>

We still do not know the whole playbook the way we should. There are many things with grenades, timings, and interactions that still need to be brought to automatic level. This cannot be built in a few days.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>

This partly explains why the team starts to look worse under pressure. When the system has not yet become natural, every difficult situation requires more time to make a decision, and in the closing stages of matches, that time is often not available.<\/p>

TaZ believes BC.Game are stronger than their results<\/strong><\/h2>

Despite the series of failures, the coach did not question the roster’s potential. In his opinion, BC.Game are capable of showing much stronger Counter-Strike, but right now the difference between practice and official matches remains too big.<\/p>

I think we are much stronger than our results show. The question is how to transfer this into official matches and how to deal with pressure.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>

That is why the upcoming work will be aimed not only at mechanically expanding the playbook. The team needs to make sure that the prepared solutions remain available even in moments when one lost round can end the entire tournament.<\/p>

Five qualifiers in a row have already been lost<\/strong><\/h2>

BC.Game’s negative streak includes five qualifiers at once:<\/p>

  1. EWC 2026 LCQ,<\/li>\n
  2. Stake Pulse Beat II Open Qualifier,<\/li>\n
  3. IEM Beijing 2026 Global Open Qualifier,<\/li>\n
  4. both European open qualifiers for PGL Masters Bucharest 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ol>

    This is already a large enough distance to talk not about coincidence, but about a trend. At the same time, the nature of the losses is especially unpleasant for the team: BC.Game regularly reach moments where they can take the match, but it is exactly there that problems with discipline and confidence begin.<\/p>

    TaZ is not writing off the Major yet<\/strong><\/h2>

    Despite the unsuccessful online qualifiers, TaZ does not believe that the team’s Major prospects have already been ruined. He emphasized that BC.Game play relatively few online tournaments, and LAN events will be a much more important test.<\/p>

    This should not happen the same way on LAN. We do not play that much online, so I do not think we need to bury our Major chances already.<\/p><\/div><\/blockquote>

    Such optimism is understandable, but now it needs to be confirmed with results. If the problem is truly mostly psychological, LAN may help the team reset, but without improving the structure and completing the playbook, the tournament format itself is unlikely to automatically fix the situation.<\/p>

    The next stage is working on the system together with Magisk<\/strong><\/h2>

    In the near future, BC.Game plan<\/a> to focus on building the playbook and developing the map pool together with Magisk. For TaZ, this is the foundation without which it is impossible to demand stability from the team in decisive matches.<\/p>

    The coach also asked fans not to treat the current results as a sign that the players have relaxed or stopped working. Five lost qualifiers create serious pressure, but inside BC.Game, the problem is seen more as an unfinished team-building process — now the next tournaments will show how quickly this process begins to produce results.<\/p>
