Valve released a large Counter-Strike 2 update overnight on September 23. The update added the new Rush game mode, reworked the Premier map selection process, and included several gameplay and map changes. Players found a test command, sv_molotov_broken_glass_trap 1, hidden in the game after the update. When enabled, broken glass from the molotov bottle stays on the ground after the grenade is thrown. This glass does not disappear right away like normal molotov fire effects.<\/p>

If a player then steps on the broken glass, it makes a clear, recognizable sound. Notably, this sound plays even if the player is walking slowly with Shift held down, a method normally used to move quietly. As a result, this mechanic could expose a player’s position even during careful, silent movement.<\/p>
