Matches at a 0:2 record in the Swiss system no longer leave any room to correct mistakes. One victory allows a team to stay alive in the tournament, while another unsuccessful series means final elimination, so these matches are played with the maximum value placed on every round.

Tournament context

ESL Pro League Season 24 takes place with Group Play in a Swiss Bo3 format. In the 0:2 group, teams play an elimination match: the winner moves to 1:2 and keeps a chance to continue the fight, while the losing team ends the tournament with a 0:3 record.

G2 and ShindeN met in this series. From the very beginning, the European roster did not allow the opponent to impose an even fight on Dust2, and then also closed their own Ancient, finishing the match without needing to play Inferno.
