After the first two rounds of the Swiss Stage, each following series increasingly defines a team’s further route. A 1:1 record still leaves room for error, but a victory allows a team to move closer to the next stage, while a loss immediately sends them into the dangerous part of the bracket.

Tournament context

ESL Pro League Season 24 takes place with Group Play in a Swiss Bo3 format. In matches between teams with a 1:1 record, the winner moves to the 2:1 group and gets closer to qualification, while the losing team drops to 1:2 and plays its next series under the threat of elimination.

In this matchup, PARIVISION started the series well and confidently took their own Ancient. However, FURIA completely changed the course of the match on Mirage, then played the decisive Inferno better and completed the comeback with a 2:1 score.
