New details have emerged around the formation of the current BC.Game roster. akofocus spoke about the failed attempt to sign cobrazera, explained s1mple’s role in the team’s transfers, and separately stated that the organization intends to bring the Ukrainian sniper back to a stable tier-1 level.

BC.Game tried to sign cobrazera

According to akofocus, BC.Game were interested in cobrazera several months ago and tried to negotiate his transfer. However, The MongolZ did not let the player go, because even then they were already planning to return him to the starting lineup.

In the end, this exact scenario happened: cobrazera once again became part of The MongolZ’s starting five. For BC.Game, this meant the need to consider other options to strengthen the roster.

electroNic did not join at s1mple’s request

Another detail concerns electroNic’s move. akofocus emphasized that the decision to invite the player was not initiated by s1mple, despite their long shared history and experience of playing on the same team.

Thus, roster decisions at BC.Game are not built exclusively around the Ukrainian sniper’s wishes. According to akofocus, s1mple himself did not interfere in the roster’s formation and did not demand the signing of specific players.

BC.Game want to bring s1mple back to tier-1

At the same time, the club has a clear commitment to s1mple himself. akofocus said that after his departure from NAVI, he personally promised to do everything possible so that the Ukrainian would regularly compete at the biggest tournaments again.

I cannot break the promise I made to Sasha.

He has never once come to me, even when something was not working out, he did not complain about rosters, and at the same time he always works harder than everyone.

We are trying to build the strongest possible team for him, but at the same time, this is business.

This position clearly explains BC.Game’s current approach. The organization is trying to gradually build a competitive roster around s1mple, but at the same time, every roster decision must remain justified both in terms of results and in terms of business.

s1mple remains the central part of the project

From akofocus’s words, it follows that BC.Game’s main long-term goal has not changed — to create conditions under which s1mple can return to full-fledged competition at the tier-1 level. At the same time, the player himself does not seem to be trying to control transfer policy and is focusing on his own work.

The story with cobrazera also shows that the club is ready to consider different options for strengthening the roster and work on them in advance. Now the main question is whether BC.Game can turn these ambitions into a roster capable of consistently playing against the strongest teams in the world.
