Elfishguy examines the recent wave of roster changes involving Australian players, including ASAP’s move to BC.Game and Sashi’s signings of TJP, Hatz, and Chelios. While international opportunities are important for the region, he argues that the timing of these transfers has created serious problems for the local Counter-Strike scene.

He highlights how Thunder Down Under lost several players shortly before important LAN events, forcing the team to withdraw from ANZC and requalify for another tournament. Rooster and Sunday School were also affected, while tournament organizers faced withdrawals, disrupted schedules, and financial consequences despite significant investments in Australian CS.

Elfishguy questions whether Sashi’s approach will bring any meaningful benefits to the players or the region, especially given the team’s uncertain Major qualification chances. He contrasts this with ASAP’s move to BC.Game, which he sees as a more promising opportunity, and argues that international organizations should approach Australian talent more responsibly to avoid damaging the local ecosystem.
