The third-place match was the last opportunity for HEROIC and 100 Thieves to end the tournament on a positive note after their semi-final defeats. The series required quick adaptation: a poor start left no time to correct mistakes in the next round of the playoffs.

Tournament context

Stake Pulse Beat III takes place in Stockholm with playoffs played in a single elimination Bo3 format. A separate Tiebreaker determines third and fourth places: the winner earns bronze and $10,000, while the losing team finishes fourth with $6,000 in prize money.

HEROIC and 100 Thieves met in the third-place match. 100 Thieves started the series better and took their own Dust2, but after that, HEROIC completely turned the match around with victories on Inferno and Ancient.
