Valve have sent another wave of invitations to the VACNet labeling portal in Counter-Strike 2, expanding the number of players able to review and classify suspicious gameplay clips.

Selected users will see a VACNet icon appear directly in-game, while Valve credited participants in the program with contributing to recent improvements in match quality.

Valve expand access to VACNet labeling

Valve announced the new invitation wave through the official Counter-Strike account.

The developer said users who have been selected will see the VACNet icon inside CS2, which provides access to the review system.

The VACNet portal allows invited users to review clips and provide labels for suspicious behavior. Access is currently restricted to selected participants who can sign in through the official Counter-Strike website.

Valve credit labelers for match quality improvements

The announcement also included a rare direct reference to the impact of the community review system on matchmaking.

Valve said recent improvements in match quality were a result of people participating in VACNet labeling.

The statement suggests that the collected labels are being used as part of the broader VACNet system responsible for identifying suspicious behavior in Counter-Strike 2.

Valve did not disclose how many additional users received access in the latest wave or what criteria are used to select participants.

VACNet review system continues to expand

The current version of the community review system began reaching selected CS2 users earlier in 2026.

Like the previous Overwatch system in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, invited players can examine gameplay footage involving suspected cheating and classify what they see.

The main difference is that the current implementation is tied directly to VACNet, Valve anti-cheat detection system, with access distributed selectively rather than being available to the wider player base.

Users who receive an invitation can access the VACNet labeling portal through the in-game icon or the official Counter-Strike VACNet page.

The latest invitation wave indicates that Valve are continuing to expand the pool of people contributing labels while developing the anti-cheat system.
