The competitive Counter-Strike scene is about to get even more exciting as the Champion of Champions Tour (CCT) returns with its third season, launching on April 30. With 40 tournaments planned across the globe and a total prize pool of $1,280,000, CCT is doubling down on its mission to support the rising tier-2 and tier-3 teams hungry for the spotlight.

A Truly Global Calendar

This season brings CCT’s most expansive structure yet, reaching deeper into key regions:

  • 20 tournaments in Europe
  • 10 in South America
  • 4 in North America
  • 4 in Oceania
  • 2 new tier-3 events in Europe

“Our priority is to build a stable, long-term platform for tier-2 teams in every region,” said Markus Wagner, CCT’s European coordinator. “Too many promising teams go unnoticed by top-tier leagues. We want to give them both a voice and a real opportunity to grow.”

This regional breakdown reflects a clear commitment to global development — a system where any team, from any region, can make its mark.

First Stop: EU Series 1 — Starting April 30

The season kicks off with CCT EU Series 1, beginning April 30. All events will follow the official Valve ranking system, making every result matter for teams chasing RMR slots and Major qualifications.

“We’ve carefully aligned our format with Valve’s updated ecosystem,” explained Laura Mendoza, format lead for the tour. “It’s crucial that teams see their hard work translate into real progress — and we’re making sure that happens.”

Big Prizes, Bigger Stories

With a $1.28 million prize pool on the line, Season 3 offers more than just financial support — it’s a proving ground for the next generation of contenders. From seasoned tier-2 names to emerging dark horses, hundreds of teams will get their chance to shine.

“We dream of discovering the next CS superstar through CCT,” said Peter Reimann, one of the project’s main organizers. “These tournaments aren’t just about the money. They’re about the untold stories — the teams you haven’t heard of yet, but will soon.”

Which Teams Will Shine in CCT’s Third Season?

At the moment, the organizers of the Champion of Champions Tour (CCT) have not yet released the full list of participating teams for Season 3. However, based on previous seasons, it is expected that several well-known tier-2 and tier-3 teams will take part, including B8, Monte, GamerLegion, 500, BetBoom Team, SINNERS Esports, Team Spirit Academy, AMKAL ESPORTS, and MOUZ NXT.
In particular, during CCT Season 2, these teams achieved strong results:

  • B8 – winners of Series #2, #10, and #18.

  • Monte – finalists of Series #16.

  • GamerLegion – finalists of Series #11 and #12.

  • 500 – winners of Series #17 and #20.

  • BetBoom Team – winners of Series #8 and #22.

  • SINNERS Esports – winners of Series #11.

  • Team Spirit Academy – winners of Series #14 and #15.

  • AMKAL ESPORTS – winners of Series #1.

  • MOUZ NXT – finalists of Series #3.

These teams are expected to continue their participation in Season 3, competing for the prize pool and a chance to improve their standing within the Valve ranking system.

Season 3: The Most Ambitious Chapter Yet

At a time when the tier-2 ecosystem needs stability and visibility more than ever, CCT is stepping up. With a clear structure, global reach, and meaningful opportunities for rising teams, this season could very well be a launching pad for the stars of tomorrow.
