French organization 3DMAX have officially announced the signing of Jeremy “Kursy” Gast, who returns to professional Counter-Strike after spending the last nine months on the sidelines. The 24-year-old replaces Pierre “Ex3rcice” Bulinge, who was moved to the bench earlier the same day as part of the team’s roster changes ahead of the second half of the 2026 season.

Unlike his previous stint with GamerLegion, where he primarily played as an AWPer, Kursy will join 3DMAX as a rifler. The change comes because Bryan “Maka” Canda remains the team’s primary sniper, forcing Kursy to return to the rifle role he occupied earlier in his career.

His time with GamerLegion ended on a disappointing note, as he averaged a 0.95 HLTV rating before being benched. Since then, he has remained inactive for nine months while waiting for another opportunity.

3DMAX described the signing with a short message on social media:

The missing piece. Kursy officially joins our Counter-Strike team as a rifler.

Debut set for XSE Pro League

Fans won’t have to wait long to see the new lineup in action. Kursy is expected to make his official debut on July 1 at XSE Pro League 2026, where 3DMAX will face Ninjas in Pyjamas in the opening round. Following the move, the French squad consists of:

  • Bryan “Maka” Canda
  • Lucas “Lucky” Chastang
  • Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier
  • Filip “Graviti” Brankovic
  • Jeremy “Kursy” Gast

Coach: Damien “wasiNk” Dufour.

Community reaction

The announcement was met with a largely positive response from the Counter-Strike community. LASOURCE.GG wished Kursy good luck, while numerous French fans welcomed him back to the server with messages such as “Welcome #DevilNeverDies” and “Bonne chance Jeremy!”

Some supporters expressed optimism that the roster change could help 3DMAX regain momentum after an inconsistent season. Others compared Kursy’s appearance to ZywOo, jokingly calling him the “French ZywOo from Wish.”

Not every reaction was positive, however. Some fans questioned the decision to replace Ex3rcice, calling the move a downgrade, while others wondered why the organization had chosen Kursy after such a long period of inactivity. Several comments also pointed out that Maka remains on the roster, making Kursy’s transition from AWPer to rifler one of the biggest storylines to watch.

A fresh start for both sides

For 3DMAX, the signing represents another attempt to strengthen a roster that struggled to establish itself among Europe’s elite during the first half of 2026. For Kursy, it is an opportunity to restart his career after months away from official competition. Whether the role change pays off will become clear when the French side begins its campaign at XSE Pro League.
