9z have become the champions of XSE Pro League Guangzhou 2026 after a commanding 3-0 victory over PARIVISION in the grand final. The South American squad controlled the series from start to finish. They won Mirage (13-9), Inferno (13-10), and Dust2 (13-4) to claim the organization’s first Tier-1 LAN trophy.
Road to the title
9z enjoyed an impressive run throughout the tournament. The team opened the Swiss Stage with a loss to EYEBALLERS and Alliance later. However, they quickly recovered with victories over SINNERS, 3DMAX, and MIBR, to qualify for the playoffs with a 3-2 record.
After that, 9z eliminated TYLOO (2-1) in the quarterfinals and Alliance (2-1) in the semifinals. They completed their campaign with a dominant 3-0 sweep over PARIVISION in the grand final.
Meanwhile, PARIVISION also produced a strong tournament. The roster advanced from the Swiss Stage by defeating Alliance, Lynn Vision, MIBR, and BIG in the quarterfinals. It then edged FaZe 2-1 in the semifinals before finishing as runners-up.
9z dominate the grand final from start to finish
The best-of-five final was less competitive than many expected. Although PARIVISION picked Mirage and Dust2, 9z looked in control on every map.
Mirage remained close for much of the game. However, 9z pulled away in the second half and secured a 13-9 victory. Inferno followed a similar pattern. The South Americans controlled the key rounds, won 13-10, and moved within one map of the title.
Finally, Dust2 turned into a one-sided affair. PARIVISION found little success against 9z’s aggressive CT setups and coordinated executes. As a result, the series ended with a convincing 13-4 victory for the new champions.
Player of the Match
Franco “dgt” Garcia earned the Player of the Match award after finishing the final with a 1.40 rating. He also recorded 53 kills, 86.6 ADR, and 85.5% KAST. His consistent impact helped 9z control the series from the opening map to the final round.
VRS impact
The title also boosted 9z in the Valve Regional Standings. The South American team gained 17 VRS points and climbed from 7th to 6th place. Despite the loss, PARIVISION remained 13th after dropping 10 VRS points.
