The lineup means most of the current top teams will start the 2027 season at the same LAN.
Two spots remain for the European qualifier
PGL Bucharest 2027 will feature 16 teams in total, leaving two places available through qualification.
An eight-team European closed qualifier will run from October 16 to 20. Six teams receive invitations to that stage through the European VRS, while two more will advance from the open qualifiers.
The two best teams from the closed qualifier will complete the participant list for the Bucharest LAN.
PGL Bucharest overlaps with BLAST Bounty
The confirmed field is also notable because PGL Bucharest 2027 overlaps with BLAST Bounty Season 1 2027.
BLAST Bounty is scheduled for January 11-24 in Malta, meaning its second week takes place at the same time as the event in Bucharest. BLAST is expected to determine invitations using the November ranking.
By contrast, PGL has already secured all 14 teams from the October invitation list, including most of the highest-ranked rosters in the world.
The overlap means teams that accepted the Bucharest invitations will not be available for the later stages of BLAST Bounty if both schedules remain unchanged.
$1,000,000 prize pool and VRS bonuses
PGL Bucharest 2027 will feature a $1,000,000 traditional prize pool.
An additional $400,000 is allocated through the VRS invite bonus system, rewarding highly ranked teams that accept invitations to events organized by PGL.
The group stage will use a Swiss Bo3 format before the tournament moves into a single-elimination playoff bracket. The Grand Final will be played as a Bo5.
