Aurora completed their roster rebuild by signing kyxsan

Aurora have officially completed one of the most notable rebuilds of this CS2 off-season by signing Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski. It was the Macedonian captain who put the finishing touch on the team’s transformation, which in just a few days moved from a Turkish core to a fully international roster.

Aurora have fully moved into an international format

Aurora have spent the last few days very aggressively on the transfer market. First, the club officially introduced Jimpphat, then announced the arrival of ash as head coach, and now closed the final key slot by signing kyxsan. All of this looks not like a point change, but like a full team restart under a new sporting model.

And that is the main point of the entire story. Aurora did not simply replace one or two players, but completely changed their development vector. If earlier the team was associated primarily with a Turkish core and local identity, now the bet is on international communication, a wider role pool, and a new system around an experienced IGL and a new coach. This is a conclusion that directly follows from the sequence of announced transfers.

Why kyxsan is the central figure of this rebuild

The signing of kyxsan is important not only because he became the fifth player. First of all, Aurora received an already established in-game leader who worked at the highest level and managed to win a trophy with Falcons. That is why this transfer looks not like a risky bet on the future, but like an attempt to immediately give the new roster a clear structure and team framework.

It is also important separately that, for kyxsan himself, this is a chance to quickly restart his career after a difficult ending to his spell with Falcons. Earlier this year, he was removed from the starting roster, even though before that he had led the team to major results. Now he gets a new project where he immediately becomes not a supporting figure, but the main captain and, in essence, the main architect of the game.

Jimpphat and ash make this story even more serious

The arrival of kyxsan alone would already have been big news. But together with Jimpphat and ash, this story looks much larger. Aurora strengthened both the server side and the coaching staff at the same time, meaning the club did not simply throw names into the roster, but built a new team comprehensively.

That is where the main strength of the current rebuild lies. Jimpphat adds youth and a mechanical ceiling, ash brings coaching experience and structure, and kyxsan provides leadership and an understanding of how to manage a team in high-level matches. In theory, this gives Aurora a significantly higher ceiling than the previous version of the roster. It is important to emphasize: for now, this is still a prediction based on the configuration of the new roster, not an already proven result.

Who exactly left the previous version of Aurora

Together with the new signings, Aurora have effectively closed the previous chapter. The new faces came in place of Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli, Caner “soulfly” Kesici, and coach Sezgin “Fabre” Kalaycı, meaning the changes affected not only the starting five, but also the entire model of team management. That is why the current Aurora can fairly be viewed as a different project, not just a slightly updated version of the old roster.

For the organization, this is a very bold step, because such transitions are always connected with risk. The team is changing not only roles, but also the language of communication, the internal roster dynamic, the hierarchy, and the identity itself. But if Aurora went for it, it means the club believes that the previous version of the roster had already reached its maximum. This is a logical conclusion from the scale of the changes that were carried out in a short period of time.

The debut of the new roster is already very close

There will not be a long wait for the first test of the new Aurora. The team is set to debut at BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2, whose online stage starts on July 21. This means there will not be much time for adaptation, and therefore the first matches will almost certainly become a test not only of individual form, but also of communication and role distribution.

That is why the start of the new roster will be especially revealing. If Aurora quickly deliver results, then the decision to move international will immediately look justified. If the team starts inconsistently, that will not be a sensation either, because with such a deep rebuild, a period of turbulence is almost inevitable. This is already an analytical conclusion based on the typical logic of major roster changes.

A new era for Aurora

The signing of kyxsan has finally shaped the new Aurora as an international project with very serious ambitions. The organization did not limit itself to cosmetic changes, but fully rebuilt the team around a new leader, a new coach, and a new balance of roles.

Now the main question is no longer “whether the rebuild is complete,” but “how quickly this roster will start working.” On paper, Aurora have received a very interesting set of players. And if the kyxsan + Jimpphat + ash connection works the way the club expects, the team could become one of the most interesting new projects of the second half of the season.
