BetBoom continue to search for stability after a season in which the team repeatedly had to deal with roster problems. Now the five are playing together again, and Boombl4 wants to use the upcoming run of tournaments not only to fight for the Major, but also to gradually reach the level of a consistent playoff team.
BetBoom are playing with their full roster again
One of the main advantages for BetBoom has been the opportunity to finally play several tournaments in a row with the same roster. According to Boombl4, after a three-week break without official matches, the team first of all needs to regain its game rhythm and get used to the competitive tempo again.
It is a good time for our roster right now. There are many tournaments ahead over roughly the next two months, and we are playing with our full roster, so this is a good moment to show what we are capable of.
At the same time, the specific result in the Swiss Stage is not that crucial for the captain. BetBoom want to reach the playoffs regardless of whether they finish the stage with a 3:0, 3:1, or 3:2 record — the main thing is to regain the feel of the game and stability.

The goal is already bigger than just reaching the Major
In 2026, BetBoom reached the playoffs at four of the five notable tournaments they attended, so the team has gradually raised its own expectations. Boombl4 emphasized that the roster is now looking beyond simply qualifying for the Major and wants to establish itself among the teams that regularly reach the decisive stages of big events.
Right now we are already at the next stage. We are not playing only for the Major — we want to become a stable tier-1 or tier-2 team that reaches playoffs more and more often and gradually grows to the tier-1 level.
For this, BetBoom need experience in matches against the strongest opponents. Boombl4 specifically named Falcons, Vitality, and Spirit as the level of teams his roster wants to regularly compete against.
Dust2 has become part of the mind games
The most interesting detail concerns BetBoom’s map pool. The team has not shown Dust2 in official matches for around three months, although they previously had very strong results on the map. According to Boombl4, this situation has already become a tool for psychological play during the veto.
We have certain mind games with teams. Previously, we had a very strong result on Dust2, and now we have zero maps played over the last three months. We will see what happens next, because there are many best-of-threes ahead.
This uncertainty forces opponents to consider Dust2 even without a current sample of matches. BetBoom are effectively keeping the map hidden, and the upcoming run of Bo3s may become the moment when the team finally brings it back into its active pool.
Cache suited BetBoom better than Overpass
Boombl4 also positively assessed the appearance of Cache in the current map pool. The captain admitted that he liked Overpass much less, comparing it to Vertigo in terms of how uncomfortable these maps can be for competitive play.
It became better for us. I did not like Overpass as a competitive map. I played Cache back at my first Major against Virtus.pro, so I love this map.
At the same time, BetBoom do not yet consider their map pool complete. The team needs time to feel stable on all maps, but the return of the full roster and a packed calendar should help them work through weak points faster.
Stability remains the main task
Boombl4 did not single out the problems of individual players after a question about zorte’s form. According to him, after three weeks without official matches, anyone can play inconsistently, so the main thing is to restore team interaction, after which individual form should catch up.
If we play well specifically as a team, then everyone can show themselves. Right now we are just trying to feel the game again, because we have played only two matches.
BetBoom’s next opponent is set to be Aurora, but Boombl4 does not attach special importance to this matchup. In the MR12 format, he expects a high level of unpredictability and believes that at a tournament like this, practically every team is capable of beating any other.
