OG are starting a new chapter on Counter-Strike with a roster built around a French-speaking majority with Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro, Pierre “Ex3rcice” Bulinge and Jordan “Chucky” Molnar, alongside with coach Lambert “Lambert” Prigent at the helm of the project. But with Danish player Martin “nut nut” Holm Vestergaard and Swedish Olle “spooke” Grundström, OG are keeping their international identity that they adopted from their entry into Counter-Strike.
The decision comes after OG’s previous attempt to reach the highest level of Counter-Strike failed to deliver expected results for this caliber of roster. The organization will see his VRS rank being reset and will have to return to open competitions and LAN in order to build its ranking from the ground up.
A Change to OG’s Philosophy
When entering Counter-Strike, the organization tried to reach Tier 1 immediately by signing experienced players, and this methode stayed true until last year when they signed players such as Casper “cadiaN” Møller and Timur “FL4MUS” Marev. But overtime the results fell short of those ambitions, and the project never established itself among the strongest European teams.
The organization now wants to try again at developing players and young talent. Lambert and his staff have been central to that philosophy, with OG pointing to previous prospects such as Chr1zN, adamb and spooke as examples of its development work. The new lineup therefore represents a return to the organization’s foundations, with the French core giving the project a clear identity from day one.
Starting From Zero in the VRS
The most striking part of OG’s reconstruction is the decision to accept a complete reset in their VRS ranking. As the organisation chose to change 3 players, the new core will start from the ground up.The team will then have to play has many open LAN tournaments as possible in order to climb the rankings again.
But as many other teams experienced this grind, it will be a demanding route for OG, as a low VRS position means fewer invitations to important competitions and forces the team to prove itself through qualifiers and smaller events before reaching the biggest stages. The first opportunity comes at the Roman Imperium Cup IX, where the new lineup will make its debut from October 7 to 10. The reset gives the organization a difficult starting point, but also allows the new roster to develop from a clean sheet.
French-Speaking Players at the Heart of OG
The main attraction of this new OG lineup is the francophone core formed by bodyy, Ex3rcice and Chucky. After the departure of CadiaN, bodyy now takes over the in-game leader role, while also reuniting with Ex3rcice where they both played together with 3DMAX, DBL PONEY and HEET.
Ex3rcice arrives after almost three years within French teams, where he developed alongside several French talents and reached the Major stage thrice. His move to OG gives him a new opportunity to establish himself in a new environment. The third player to complete the French-Speaking identity of the roster is Chucky, a Belgian AWPer who competed for GenOne, where he established himself as one of the more promising young talents in tier 2. He averaged a 1.18 rating across 335 maps in 2026, while his 1.21 rating across 27 LAN maps showed that his performances could translate beyond online competition. OG is now giving him his first opportunity to develop at a higher level, with the responsibility of becoming the team’s primary AWPer.
Behind the trio stands Lambert, probably the most important figure in the project. The coach has been part of OG for several years and has played a major role in the organization’s development. With bodyy leading inside the server and Ex3rcice and Chucky forming the other parts of the French-speaking core, Lambert now has a group that fits naturally into the philosophy he has helped establish at OG.
Two Young Pieces to Complete the Core
Nut nut arrives from ECSTATIC after a period away from official competition. The Danish player averaged a 1.13 rating across 98 maps in 2026, making multiple times the HLTV list of Young Prospects, before moving to ECSTATIC’s transfer list in July. His previous performances give OG another player with great potential, although he will first need to regain his rhythm after several months without official matches.
Spooke, meanwhile remains with OG after spending close to two years inside the organization and has already experienced several versions of the team. His familiarity with the system should help the new players adapt, while his previous development under Lambert makes him another example of the path OG wants to follow. The combination of spooke and nut nut therefore gives the roster two different profiles around its new trio.
The Long Road Back
OG’s new chapter will be built around bodyy, Ex3rcice and Chucky, with Lambert guiding the project from behind them. That French-speaking foundation gives the team an immediate identity and provides several existing connections that should help the lineup develop faster. Bodyy’s leadership, Ex3rcice’s experience and Chucky’s potential create a balanced core, while nut nut and spooke bring young blood around them.
The VRS reset means the road ahead will be long and OG will have to earn its way back into Tier 1 competitions. Every LAN will represent another opportunity to climb, while every victory will help establish the roster’s reputation. For OG, the objective is clear: build again from the ground up.
