DanishCorner have stepped down from their role as the official Astralis fan club following the decision to bench Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard. The community said the loss of the Danish core made continuing in an official capacity no longer feel right.
DanishCorner will not shut down and instead plans to continue as an independent community for Astralis supporters.
DANISHCORNER REACT TO LOSS OF DANISH CORE
Astralis moved HooXi and jabbi to the bench on October 9, leaving Victor “Staehr” Staehr as the only Danish player currently listed on the active roster.
DanishCorner cited that change directly when announcing the decision to leave the official fan club role.
Following the news that Astralis has decided to part ways with HooXi and Jabbi, meaning the team will no longer have its Danish core, the DanishCorner board has decided to step down from our role as the official Astralis fan club.

The group stressed that there is no conflict with Astralis and said the decision should not be interpreted as an attack on the organization.
COMMUNITY WILL CONTINUE INDEPENDENTLY
DanishCorner explained that significant time, effort and money had been invested into building the community over the past several years.
The group said inconsistent results and fewer opportunities to meet the team at events also made developing the project more difficult than expected.
There is no bad blood between us and Astralis, and our decision should not be seen as an attack on the organization.
Instead of closing the project, DanishCorner will continue independently and hopes existing members will remain part of the community.
The group thanked supporters who attended events, travelled with the team and helped build the fan community over the years.
ASTRALIS ENTER A NEW ROSTER ERA
The decision follows one of the most significant roster changes for Astralis in recent years.
HooXi and jabbi were moved to the bench shortly after helping the team secure its first LAN trophy since 2019. Astralis said the organization had decided to move in a new direction as the contracts of both players approached expiration.
The changes also mean the roster is moving away from the Danish identity that had defined Astralis throughout its history.
DanishCorner will remain connected to Astralis supporters, but no longer as the official fan club representing the organization.
