According to information first revealed by French CS2 commentator and former professional player Sébastien “KRL” Perez, Team Vitality is planning to launch its own CS2 academy, which may be led by the legendary Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen. The academy’s name and roster remain undisclosed for now.
French giant in CS
Team Vitality is a French esports organization that has been competing in Counter-Strike (now CS2) since October 2018. The team is one of the most successful in the discipline, having won 21 S-tier trophies, including two Majors and the Intel Grand Slam. The roster features stars such as Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire.
For example, apEX recently caught up with dupreeh in terms of major titles — both now hold 32 tournament victories.
Five-time Major champion
Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen is one of the most successful players in Counter-Strike history. He has won five Major championships (Atlanta 2017, London 2018, Katowice 2019, Berlin 2019, and Paris 2023), which is a record in the discipline. He also appeared in the HLTV Top 20 players of the year seven times (2013–2015, 2017–2020) and earned two MVP medals.

His career, which began in 2012, included stints with 3DMAX, Copenhagen Wolves, Astralis, Vitality, Heroic, Preasy, and Falcons.
A new chapter for Vitality
The launch of a CS2 academy by Team Vitality under the guidance of dupreeh is a powerful step in the organization’s development, not only as a competitive structure but also as a center for nurturing new talent. Dupreeh’s reputation as one of the most decorated players in the world makes him an ideal mentor: he has unparalleled experience from all Majors, numerous LAN tournaments, and years of leadership. He can pass on to young players the professional culture, strategic vision, discipline, and standards that defined his career and playstyle.
This move will not only strengthen Team Vitality’s image as an organization investing in the future but also help shape the next generation of CS2 stars. The academy could become a key platform for young talents aspiring to reach the top of the esports scene.
