Envy have officially returned to Counter-Strike 2 by signing the former 3DMAX roster of Bryan “Maka” Canda, Lucas “Lucky” Chastang, Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier, Filip “Graviti” Brankovic and Jeremy “Kursy” Gast.
The organization confirmed the move on September 29 with the message “A NEW ERA BEGINS. Welcome ENVY CS.” The announcement comes only days after Envy teased a Counter-Strike return with a video captioned “The bomb has been planted.”

Envy return after almost six years away
Envy have been absent from Counter-Strike since 2020, when the organization fielded an international lineup featuring players including MICHU, Nifty and Thomas.
The return also reconnects Envy with the French scene that delivered the biggest achievement in the organization’s Counter-Strike history. Envy won DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015, defeating NAVI 2:0 in the Grand Final to claim their only Major title.
The new lineup is:
- Bryan “Maka” Canda
- Lucas “Lucky” Chastang
- Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier
- Filip “Graviti” Brankovic
- Jeremy “Kursy” Gast
The five players most recently competed under 3DMAX and won Logitech G Play Connect 2026, where Maka was named tournament MVP.
Major qualification becomes the immediate target
The new Envy roster enters the organization during a close race for PGL Singapore Major 2026.
The lineup currently sits #21 in the global VRS and still has ranked events available before the November 2 Major invitation cutoff. Envy are scheduled to compete at Stake Pulse Beat III and DraculaN Season 7, giving the team further opportunities to gain points.
According to the latest Major qualification simulation from Mischief, Envy currently have a 38.8% chance of reaching PGL Singapore Major 2026. The model places their expected Major ranking range between #14 and #26.
The percentage is a simulation rather than a guaranteed qualification scenario, and the position can still change significantly depending on results at the remaining ranked events before the cutoff.
Debut expected at Stake Pulse Beat III
Envy are expected to make their first official appearance with the new roster at Stake Pulse Beat III, which begins on October 12.
That event will be particularly important for the Major race, with the roster entering the final weeks before the November 2 cutoff and currently sitting outside the projected qualification line.
The signing completes the return Envy had been teasing throughout September and brings the Major-winning organization back to Counter-Strike with an established five-player lineup already involved in the Singapore qualification battle.
