FaZe finally got a result that could become a turning point in the race for PGL Major Singapore 2026. Twistzz’s team finished the tournament in Portugal without a loss, significantly improved its position in VRS, and lifted a LAN trophy again for the first time in a long while.
FaZe’s first LAN title since 2024
In the final of Roman Imperium Cup IX, FaZe crushed NAVI Junior 2:0. Both maps ended with the same score — 13:2 on Anubis and 13:2 on Nuke, so NAVI Junior managed to take only four rounds in the entire final.
For FaZe, this is their first LAN trophy since IEM Chengdu 2024. From that championship roster, only frozen remains in the current team, while the roster’s previous LAN final came at HLC Belgrade PRO 2026, where they lost to BIG.
FaZe went through the tournament undefeated
The path to the title was not as easy as the final series. In the opening match, FaZe lost a map to Sangal, but made a comeback and won 2:1, after which they confidently closed PURE 2:0.
In the upper bracket final, NAVI Junior also forced FaZe to come back after losing a map, and the decisive map went to overtime. FaZe won 2:1 again, and in the grand final they no longer gave NAVI’s academy any chances.
jocabbb destroyed NAVI Junior in the final
The best player of the final series was jocabbb. He finished the match with 34-14 statistics, 116.1 ADR, and a 2.04 rating, becoming FaZe’s main force in the one-sided final.

At the same time, the entire team showed a high individual level: frozen received a 1.68 rating, Twistzz — 1.45, JBOEN — 1.41, and Neityu — 1.35. For NAVI Junior, not a single player finished the series even with a 1.00 rating.
A jump in VRS and the race for the Major
The victory brought FaZe 106 VRS points and allowed them to climb 14 positions at once — to 16th place in the global ranking. Before the start of Roman Imperium Cup IX, the team was outside the top 30, so this result significantly changed its position.
After the tournament, FaZe’s chances of receiving an invitation to PGL Major Singapore are estimated at around 71.8%. The team has effectively returned to the real fight for the Major, although the qualification question is not yet fully closed.
Two more important LAN tournaments ahead
Before the Major invite deadline, FaZe plan to play two more LAN tournaments. From October 19 to 23, the team will compete at DraculaN Season 7 in Bucharest, and on October 27-29, they will travel to RLG Tesla Cup in Belgrade.
These championships may ultimately determine FaZe’s position before the November cutoff. After the victory in Portugal, the team is already standing near the edge of the top 15, and further successful performances may practically guarantee them a place at the Major.
