Five Teams That Could Be the Perfect Next Step for siuhy

Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek is back on the market. Liquid officially parted ways with the Polish in-game leader on October 2, ending a 16-month spell that never developed the way either side expected. siuhy had already been on the bench since July, when Liquid replaced him with Johnny “JT” Theodosiou following another disappointing first half of the season.

The numbers from his final months do not make particularly comfortable reading. Liquid exited the IEM Cologne Major 2026 in Stage 1, with siuhy finishing the event on a 0.70 Rating 3.0. His previous events included ratings of 0.91 at the CS Asia Championships, 0.87 at IEM Atlanta and 0.77 at IEM Rio. Across his Liquid period, he recorded 0.55 kills per round and a 0.78 K/D ratio. But judging siuhy only by Liquid would mean ignoring most of what made him one of Counter-Strike’s most desirable young captains in the first place.

He led MOUZ NXT to four consecutive WePlay Academy League titles, helped build the GamerLegion roster that reached the BLAST.tv Paris Major grand final in 2023, and then returned to MOUZ to turn one of the youngest lineups in tier-one Counter-Strike into a genuine title contender. Under siuhy, MOUZ won ESL Pro League Seasons 18 and 19 and BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, while also reaching three other finals during his 18 months as captain.

That history is important. siuhy’s biggest strength has never been raw individual output. It is his ability to work with young players, give aggressive riflers freedom and turn relatively inexperienced pieces into a functioning international team. GamerLegion even made him one of the first pieces of their 2022 rebuild and allowed him to have significant input into who joined the roster. At MOUZ, he later helped integrate Jimpphat into tier-one Counter-Strike and previously worked with players such as xertioN and torzsi from their academy days.

Liquid showed that this formula is not guaranteed to work everywhere. But at only 24, siuhy remains one of the few available IGLs who has already taken two different organizations deep at Majors and won multiple tier-one trophies. So, where could he go next?

5. BIG — Another Leadership Change?

Current lineup:

  • blameF
  • tabseN
  • JDC
  • faveN
  • gr1ks

BIG would be one of the more complicated possibilities for siuhy, mainly because the organization already made a major leadership change at the beginning of 2026. Benjamin “blameF” Bremer joined BIG in January as both captain and in-game leader, taking control of a new international project. The move has worked well for him individually. blameF currently holds a 1.22 Rating 3.0 across his BIG period, while gr1ks sits at 1.14 and JDC at 1.10. Despite that, BIG have still struggled to establish themselves among the elite and currently remain outside the top tier of the international scene.

That makes a potential move for siuhy much less straightforward than simply replacing an underperforming captain. blameF is not only BIG’s IGL but also by far one of their strongest individual players. Removing him completely would mean sacrificing a huge amount of firepower. If BIG ever become interested in siuhy, the more interesting question would therefore be whether blameF could give up the leadership role while remaining inside the team.

It would not be unprecedented. blameF has spent significant parts of his career both as an IGL and as a pure rifler, and his individual level has historically been one of his biggest strengths. Giving the calling responsibilities to siuhy could theoretically allow blameF to focus almost entirely on his own game. The problem would then become roster space.

tabseN is no longer BIG’s captain, but he remains part of the starting five and has spent almost a decade inside the organization. JDC also has an important role within the current structure, faveN only returned at the beginning of 2026, and gr1ks is the team’s dedicated AWPer. BIG would have to decide which piece is expendable if they wanted to fit both siuhy and blameF into the same lineup. There is at least some existing familiarity. JDC played alongside siuhy in MOUZ NXT, meaning siuhy would not be entering a completely unfamiliar environment. More importantly, BIG have already abandoned the idea that the team needs to remain fully German-speaking, so bringing in a Polish international IGL would not require another philosophical shift.

This is therefore less about BIG desperately needing a new captain and more about opportunity. If the organization reaches the end of 2026 still sitting outside the elite despite having blameF, gr1ks and several experienced riflers, they may decide another structural change is necessary. siuhy would offer a very different style of leadership and, at 24, could become a long-term centerpiece of the project. The difficult part would be finding a way to bring him in without losing blameF’s individual output.

4. HEROIC — Building Around Youth Again

Current lineup:

  • Brollan
  • Nilo
  • Susp
  • MartinezSa
  • Chr1zN

Of all five teams, HEROIC may be the easiest stylistic fit. The roster is young, international and built around players who still have room to develop. nilo has averaged a 1.13 rating during his HEROIC period, Brollan and MartinezSa are both on 1.15, while susp provides another young rifling piece. The current IGL is Chr1zN, who sits at 1.02. HEROIC have also just added another fascinating piece outside the server. Snappi retired from playing at the beginning of October and immediately became the team’s new head coach. A Snappi-siuhy leadership pairing would be extremely interesting.

Both have built reputations around international Counter-Strike, and Snappi has years of experience managing teams without overwhelming superstar talent. siuhy, meanwhile, has arguably done his best work when given young riflers who are willing to buy into a system. There is even an existing relationship with one of HEROIC’s biggest names. siuhy already captained Brollan at MOUZ. During their time together, siuhy openly spoke about how much more comfortable and happy Brollan looked inside that environment.

That makes HEROIC more than a random collection of names that happen to need an IGL. There is a real framework here: Brollan as an aggressive star, nilo as one of the team’s central riflers, MartinezSa on the AWP, susp filling supportive spaces, and siuhy running the system with Snappi behind him.

The difficulty is timing. HEROIC have only recently changed coach and their current roster has shown encouraging signs, including two titles during 2026. Replacing Chr1zN immediately would therefore be harsh. This is more likely to become an option if the team’s ceiling remains around the second tier of international competition and HEROIC decide they need a more proven caller to take the next step. siuhy would not require them to rebuild from zero. He would simply take over a type of project he has already shown he knows how to lead.

3. GamerLegion — Going Back to Where Everything Changed

Current lineup:

  • Snax
  • REZ
  • Tauson
  • FL4MUS
  • hypex

Sometimes the most obvious move is obvious for a reason. GamerLegion are currently ranked No.19 in the world and once again find themselves in the familiar position of trying to remain competitive despite continually rebuilding their roster. Their current lineup has some interesting pieces: REZ has produced a 1.13 rating during his GL period, while summer addition FL4MUS has started with a 1.14. Tauson and hypex are both still young enough to develop further.

The obvious point of comparison is Snax. The Polish veteran has averaged a 0.90 Rating 3.0 since joining GamerLegion and currently occupies the leadership role. Replacing him with siuhy would give GL another Polish captain but completely change the timeline of the project. Instead of a short-term veteran solution, the organization would get a 24-year-old leader who could conceivably stay for several seasons.

And unlike every other option on this list, there is already proof that the relationship works. GamerLegion made siuhy a central piece of their rebuild in 2022. He was given significant input into assembling the team, and less than a year later that roster produced one of the greatest underdog runs in Major history. At the BLAST.tv Paris Major, GamerLegion went all the way to the grand final. They eliminated teams including MOUZ and HEROIC before eventually losing to Vitality in the title match. That run transformed siuhy from an academy prospect into one of Europe’s most sought-after IGLs.

A return in 2026 would be very different. The first version of siuhy’s GamerLegion was about proving that he belonged at the highest level. This version could be about rebuilding his reputation after Liquid.

There is also an appealing balance to the roster. REZ and FL4MUS can supply the aggression and individual peaks. Tauson remains a developmental piece. hypex gives the team a young AWPer. siuhy would once again have a lineup without an established superstar hierarchy, giving him freedom to shape the team rather than inherit one. The downside is obvious: this would be a step down in resources and immediate ambitions compared to MOUZ or Liquid. But that might not actually be a bad thing.

siuhy’s career has been at its best when he has been allowed to build something, rather than simply being inserted into a roster expected to contend immediately. GamerLegion know him, he knows the organization, and there would be very little uncertainty about what either side is signing up for. If GL miss the Singapore Major or end the year feeling their current project has reached its limit, a reunion would become even easier to imagine.

2. NAVI — The Aleksib Question

Current lineup:

  • Aleksib
  • B1t
  • iM
  • W0nderful
  • makazze

This is the biggest move on the list. It is also the one that would generate the most debate. NAVI are hardly a failed team. Even in 2026 they have won ESL Pro League Season 23 and IEM Atlanta, reached two other grand finals and spent years under Aleksib building one of the most structured systems in Counter-Strike. But the second half of the season has been much less convincing. NAVI are currently No.10 in the HLTV ranking and No.20 in the VRS. They exited the Cologne Major before the playoffs, finished 9-16th at the Esports World Cup, 9-12th at BLAST Open Porto and 7-8th at StarSeries Fall. Their win rate across the previous three months has fallen to 40%.

That does not automatically mean Aleksib should be replaced. But after more than three years with the same IGL, the question eventually becomes whether NAVI can fix another downturn within the existing system or whether they need a new voice. If they choose the second route, siuhy makes sense. The change would be positionally straightforward: IGL for IGL. Aleksib has averaged a 0.93 rating during his NAVI stint, so NAVI would not be sacrificing one of their major fragging pieces to accommodate siuhy. The rest of the core — b1t, iM, w0nderful and makazze — could remain untouched.

More importantly, this roster fits siuhy’s history. makazze is still developing in tier-one Counter-Strike. w0nderful is only 21. b1t is an established star but still only 23. siuhy has repeatedly shown an ability to work with young players and create structures in which they can grow without having to become tactical leaders themselves. There is also an interesting link with iM. The Romanian played under siuhy during GamerLegion’s Paris Major final run. That was the period that established iM as an elite-level rifler and ultimately earned him his move to NAVI. Reuniting them would give siuhy at least one player already familiar with how he approaches the game.

Then there is B1ad3. That relationship would determine whether the move worked. NAVI have historically operated with an extremely influential coach and a highly defined tactical identity. siuhy would need enough freedom to actually lead rather than simply becoming another voice inside B1ad3’s existing structure. His MOUZ departure is relevant here. When MOUZ benched him in January 2025, the organization cited “differing visions for the team’s direction.” For NAVI, that makes alignment between coach and IGL especially important.

But purely from a roster perspective, this is one of the cleanest possible elite-level destinations. NAVI would not need to dismantle their lineup. They would simply be betting that a younger captain could begin the team’s next cycle.

1. FURIA — The FalleN Succession Plan

Current lineup:

  • FalleN
  • KSCERATO
  • Yuurih
  • YEKINDAR
  • molodoy

No team has a clearer reason to at least call siuhy than FURIA. FalleN is approaching his planned retirement at the end of the year, and FURIA have spent months trying to determine how they will replace not only their veteran but their in-game leader.

At first, YEKINDAR appeared to be one possible solution. FURIA experimented with the Latvian calling T sides on several maps in preparation for life after FalleN. That experiment has effectively ended.

In September, YEKINDAR confirmed that he had handed the maps back to FalleN and made his current feelings about full-time leadership very clear: he does not want the role right now. That leaves FURIA with an unusual problem. They are currently No.3 in the world. The core itself is excellent: KSCERATO has averaged a 1.19 rating across his FURIA career, yuurih 1.15, molodoy 1.15 and YEKINDAR 1.09 during his current stint. FalleN is the only member below a 1.00 rating, at 0.97. So FURIA do not need a rebuild. They need a captain. That distinction makes siuhy particularly interesting.

Replacing FalleN directly with another player who can call would allow FURIA to preserve essentially everything that already works. molodoy remains the primary AWPer, meaning siuhy would only have to replace FalleN’s rifling positions rather than take over the sniper role. KSCERATO and yuurih keep their core responsibilities. YEKINDAR can return completely to being an aggressive rifler rather than preparing for an IGL transition he clearly does not currently want. From a tactical perspective, there is plenty to like.

siuhy has often worked best with aggressive pieces who are willing to create space and make decisions. YEKINDAR fits that description almost perfectly. molodoy is still only at the beginning of his tier-one career. Even FURIA coach sidde has publicly discussed the organization’s search for a FalleN replacement as the retirement approaches. The complication would be CT roles. siuhy has historically not been the stereotypical low-resource captain who takes every bad position on the map. Earlier in his career he frequently occupied relatively active CT roles, something HLTV highlighted when he returned to MOUZ in 2023.

FURIA would therefore have to make sure that adding him does not force KSCERATO, yuurih or YEKINDAR out of positions that make them successful. There is also the cultural question. FURIA have already committed to becoming an international team with the additions of YEKINDAR and molodoy, but FalleN remains a unique personality and leader within Brazilian Counter-Strike. Replacing him with a 24-year-old Polish IGL would be the clearest sign yet that FURIA’s next era is going to look very different from its previous one. Still, that is exactly why the move makes sense.

FURIA already have the stars. They already have an AWPer. They already have a stable core capable of reaching grand finals — including the IEM Cologne Major final in 2026 — and they are currently one of the highest-ranked teams in the world. What they do not currently have is an obvious long-term in-game leader once FalleN leaves. siuhy would solve the hardest part of that equation with a single signing.
