The grand final of BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2 became the closing chapter of one of the most intense tournament weeks of the year. FURIA kept their status as the strongest team in the world, winning the series 3–1 and securing yet another trophy in 2025. Falcons fought hard, opened with a crushing win on Inferno, and created real intrigue — but ultimately couldn’t withstand the Brazilian pace over the full distance. Despite the loss, the best player of the final was Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, whose phenomenal consistency kept Falcons competitive all the way to the very last map.

Road to the Final

FURIA completed the tournament without a single stumble, showing championship-level stability:

  • 2–1 vs paiN
  • 2–1 vs Vitality
  • 2–0 vs paiN in the semifinals
  • 3–1 vs Falcons in the final

Already in the group stage, FURIA defeated both top rivals, and in the playoffs, they cleanly dispatched paiN, giving them no chance for a comeback. This was another event where KSCERATO, yuurih, and YEKINDAR remained consistently impactful, while molodoy delivered decisive clutches and late-game contributions.

Falcons went through the tournament with absolute composure:

  • 2–0 vs Passion UA
  • 2–0 vs Spirit
  • 2–0 vs Vitality in the semifinals

kyxsan’s team looked like the biggest challenge for FURIA. They outclassed Vitality, dominated the group stage, and showed their best form since the roster was assembled. The brightest star was m0NESY, who delivered one of his strongest LAN performances since joining Falcons.

Grand Final

  • Inferno — Falcons crush the Brazilians (13–3)

Falcons demolished FURIA on the opening map. m0NESY played flawlessly, NiKo and kyxsan shut down sites with aggression, and the Falcons’ defense looked like a wall that simply couldn’t be broken. FURIA found no solutions — this wasn’t just a bad start, it was a knockout in the first round.

  • Nuke — FURIA bring the match back to life (13–9)

But the Brazilians immediately answered. YEKINDAR took initiative, yuurih won a string of key duels, and FalleN stabilized the team with calm, precise mid-round calls. Falcons fought back, but looked less ready for FURIA’s constant tempo shifts.

  • Train — the nerve-wracking thriller and the turning point (19–15)

Train became the climax — close, tense, and mentally draining. Falcons had real chances to close the map, but FURIA pushed it into overtime and then outplayed the Europeans with superior composure. m0NESY tried to haul the team forward, but the Brazilians read every micro-rotation, while YEKINDAR and molodoy won all the decisive mini-duels. This was the point of no return — Falcons let the most important map slip away.

  • Mirage — the final chord (19–16)

Mirage was a natural finale: constant trades, shifting momentum, and narrow rounds on both sides. Falcons tried to break the rhythm, but FURIA were simply better in clutch situations:

  • yuurih’s clutches
  • molodoy’s perfectly timed jungle round
  • YEKINDAR’s back-to-back entry kills in the deciding moments

After that sequence, Falcons cracked emotionally. FURIA close the series 3–1.

Player stats

Final MVP — Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov

Despite Falcons losing, the statistics of the final are crystal clear: m0NESY was the best player of the series.

His numbers:

  • 91–74 K-D
  • 85.8 ADR
  • 1.30 rating 3.0
  • +4.00% swing
  • key rounds on Inferno and Mirage

He was the main reason Falcons stayed in the fight and genuinely threatened FURIA. This is one of his strongest matches of the entire 2025 season.

VRS changes after the final

  • FURIA: +13 pt → 1997 pt (#1 in the world)
  • Falcons: –14 pt → 1955 pt (#2)

The Brazilians extend their lead and practically secure the title of world #1 for the rest of the season.

  • Falcons — a team approaching the #1 level, but not yet ready for a full Bo5 marathon against the Brazilians.
  • m0NESY — the brightest star of the final and a serious candidate for the 2025 top-5 players list.
  • YEKINDAR — the man who changed the flow of the series.

The tournament ended with a final that perfectly captured the reality of the 2025 CS2 landscape.
