The European squad took Ancient 13-6, dropped an overtime battle on Nuke 12-16, and then recovered on Mirage with a 13-11 victory. Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç delivered the standout performance with a 1.50 rating across the series. The victory gives FUT a perfect 2-0 start in Paris after their opening win over TYLOO. MOUZ, meanwhile, suffer their first defeat of the tournament and will have to fight for another playoff opportunity in the group’s deciding match.
FUT continue their impressive run in Paris
FUT have now won both of their matches at the Esports World Cup 2026. They opened the tournament with a 13-10 victory over TYLOO before overcoming one of the world’s strongest teams in MOUZ.
The result also gives FUT another victory in what has become an increasingly competitive head-to-head matchup between the two teams. Most importantly, however, they can now prepare directly for the playoffs.
MOUZ must take the longer route. After opening their campaign with a 13-8 win over Lynn Vision, the BLAST Bounty Season 2 champions will now enter the Group C deciding match with their tournament life and the remaining playoff spot on the line.
FUT edge MOUZ in a three-map battle
FUT made a dominant start on their Ancient pick, building a 10-2 halftime lead before closing the map 13-6. They looked set to finish the series on Nuke after taking another 9-3 advantage, but MOUZ mounted a strong comeback, forced overtime, and eventually won 16-12. The decider on Mirage was another close contest. FUT led 8-4 at halftime before MOUZ reduced the deficit, but this time xfl0ud and company held on to secure a 13-11 victory and a 2-1 series win. The result also ended MOUZ’s six-series winning streak, which included their recent BLAST Bounty Season 2 title.
xfl0ud leads FUT with a 1.50 rating
Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç was the clear standout performer of the series. He finished the three maps with a 1.50 rating, 59 kills, 96.2 ADR and 87.3% KAST. Džiugas “dziugss” Steponavičius also made an important contribution with a 1.23 rating. On the MOUZ side, Dorian “xertioN” Berman led his team with a 1.13 rating.
FUT make a major jump in the VRS
The victory also had a significant impact on FUT’s projected Valve Regional Standings. The team gained 69 VRS points and climbed from 12th to 10th place. MOUZ lost 20 points and slipped one position, moving from third to fourth. The result therefore strengthens FUT’s position considerably as they continue their run in Paris.
