An ace in Counter-Strike 2 looks rare, but how rare is it? New data from Scope.gg shows that one ace happens roughly every 80 to 136 rounds. However, the number changes a lot depending on the map and the platform.
Why is this interesting? Many players believe some maps give more chances for big multi-kill rounds. Now there are numbers to test that idea. In addition, the data compares two of the most popular competitive platforms: Premier and FACEIT.
Where the Data Comes From
Scope.gg collected statistics from matches played between July 6 and October 15, 2026. The study looks at the average number of rounds needed for one ace to happen. It covers eight maps and compares results on FACEIT and in Premier mode.
A lower number means aces happen more often. Therefore, a map with 80 rounds per ace produces aces far more frequently than a map with 130 rounds per ace.
Premier Produces Aces More Often Than FACEIT
The main finding is clear. On every map, aces happen more often in Premier than on FACEIT. In other words, Premier players need fewer rounds to get an ace.
On Inferno, FACEIT needs 113 rounds per ace, while Premier needs 93. That is a difference of 20 rounds. Dust2 also shows 113 rounds on FACEIT, but only 81 in Premier. As a result, Dust2 has the lowest number in the whole study, with a gap of 32 rounds.
Overpass has the smallest gap between the two platforms. FACEIT shows 119 rounds per ace, and Premier shows 116. The difference is just 3 rounds.
Cache stands at 120 rounds on FACEIT and 94 in Premier, a gap of 26 rounds. Anubis shows 126 on FACEIT and 95 in Premier, which gives a difference of 31.
Mirage and Nuke Show the Biggest Gaps
Mirage has the largest difference in the study. FACEIT players need 128 rounds per ace, but Premier players need only 85. That is a gap of 43 rounds.
Ancient follows the same pattern. FACEIT shows 132 rounds per ace, while Premier shows 100, which is 32 fewer. Finally, Nuke has the highest number on FACEIT at 137 rounds per ace. In Premier, the same map needs 97 rounds, a difference of 40.

What This Means for CS2 Players
The data shows that the map does make a difference. On FACEIT, Inferno and Dust2 are the maps where aces come most often, at 113 rounds each. Nuke is the least likely at 137. In Premier, the order changes, and Dust2 leads with 81 rounds, followed by Mirage with 85.
Meanwhile, Overpass stands out because it gives similar results on both platforms. For the other seven maps, the gap between FACEIT and Premier ranges from 20 to 43 rounds.
In conclusion, an ace is never a guaranteed event. Still, the numbers show that the chances depend on both the map and the platform. For players and fans, this makes every ace a little more special, especially on maps like Nuke on FACEIT, where it takes 137 rounds on average.
