The latest CS2 update introduces a new system that allows players to transform regular skins into souvenir-style items. While the feature is still partially untested, here’s how it works based on current information.
First, you need to select any non-souvenir skin from your inventory. This can be literally anything — from a budget rifle to a high-tier item like AWP | Desert Hydra.
Next, you choose a completed Major match (for example, from IEM Cologne 2026) and pick a specific player who participated in that match. This step defines which stickers your skin will receive.
After that, you pay a fee. The exact price is currently unknown, but it will likely depend on demand — meaning popular matches and players could cost more.

Once the process is complete, your skin receives gold stickers tied to that match:
- Both teams (e.g., B8 and TYLOO)
- The selected player (e.g., npl)
- The map playedвd
For example, if you apply this to an AWP | Desert Hydra using a B8 vs TYLOO match and bpl, your skin will be upgraded with gold event stickers from that specific game.

One detail is still unclear — whether the skin will officially receive the “Souvenir” tag in its name. However, most expectations suggest it will.
At the same time, it’s important to note that the exact functionality is not fully confirmed yet — the system will only become clear after the first Major matches are completed and players can test it in real conditions.
