Finn “karrigan” Andersen called Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov probably the best player he has ever had as a teammate. Speaking in Team Falcons content, the captain praised the AWPer for his individual level, mentality and understanding of the game, while also saying he wants to help m0NESY become the number-one player in the world.
KARRIGAN PUT M0NESY AT THE TOP OF HIS LIST
karrigan has played alongside some of the biggest names in Counter-Strike during a career spanning more than a decade, but his current teammate now stands above the rest in his personal assessment.
I think I can safely say that m0NESY is probably the best player I’ve ever played with. From a teammate perspective, mentality-wise, and also from an individual perspective.
The 36-year-old also highlighted how closely their ideas about Counter-Strike align.
I’m very much on the same wavelength with him in how to play the game. We see a lot of things eye to eye, and I want him to be the best player in the world. I want him to be number one.
The latest comments go even further than what karrigan said shortly after joining Falcons. In May, he already described m0NESY as the best AWPer he had ever played with and praised how quickly the 21-year-old processes mid-round situations.
THE FEELING IS MUTUAL
m0NESY has also spoken positively about playing under karrigan.
After Falcons won IEM Cologne Major 2026, the AWPer explained that the constant rotations and controlled chaos of the system suited the way he naturally wants to play.
The things we are doing, all the rotations, the chaos we are building on the server, this is me, this is who I am.
m0NESY also described karrigan as “amazing” after winning the Major MVP award, crediting the change in style as an important part of the strongest achievement of his career.
THEIR FIRST MONTHS ALREADY BROUGHT A MAJOR
The partnership began in April 2026, when karrigan joined Falcons.
Since then, the team have reached several major finals, including runner-up finishes at PGL Astana and CS Asia Championships, before winning IEM Cologne Major 2026. The Major was the second of the career of karrigan and the first for m0NESY, who also received the tournament MVP award.
That success gives additional weight to the comments from karrigan: the connection he describes has already translated into the biggest trophy in Counter-Strike.
RAIN WAS HIS PREVIOUS CHOICE
The statement is also notable because karrigan had previously named Håvard “rain” Nygaard as the best teammate of his career.
In a 2019 HLTV interview, he praised rain for never tilting, consistently following calls and contributing to the team outside the server as well as inside it.
Seven years later, karrigan now places m0NESY above a long list of elite teammates and has made his next goal clear: helping the Falcons AWPer reach the number-one spot in the world.
