Ukrainian player Kvem officially announced the end of his contract with Passion UA and his move to the free-agent market. In his statement, he thanked everyone who supported him throughout this stage and made it clear that he is now open to new offers.
For Kvem himself, this marks the end of an important stretch of his career, one that turned out to be fairly uneven. At Passion UA, he went through a roster rebuild, a short spell on the bench, and a return to the active lineup, and is now entering a new phase without contractual restrictions.
Adaptation to different conditions
Kvem joined Passion UA at the beginning of 2025. During that time, the team managed to change its own structure — from a fully Ukrainian lineup to an international format — and the player himself briefly found himself on the bench in August 2025. However, that was not the end of his story with the club: he returned to play and spent another year with the team.
That is exactly why this departure does not look like a simple formality after an expiring contract. It is rather the end of a full cycle in which Kvem managed to go through several different versions of the same project.

What Kvem showed at Passion UA
During his time across the two iterations of the Passion UA roster, Kvem managed to show that he can adapt well to changes within a team. His average 1.11 rating looks solid for a player who did not have a stable long-term top-level project around him.
These are not the kind of numbers that automatically turn you into a superstar of the scene, but they are a good foundation for a strong reputation at a competitive level. Especially considering that Kvem had to play in a team that was itself still searching for its final shape.
The main results came at the tier-2 level
Kvem’s best tournament results with Passion UA came on the tier-2 VRS scene. Together with the team, he won Glitched Masters 2025 and Urban Riga Open Season 1, meaning he left behind not only isolated strong matches, but also real titles at the second level.
At more prestigious tournaments, however, there was no real breakthrough. The best results at notable events were 5th–6th places at BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2 and StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2025, while at the Major his highest finish remained 9th–11th place at the StarLadder Budapest Major.
No MVPs, but still recognition
Kvem still has no MVP or EVP awards in his career, and that illustrates his current status in the wider hierarchy of the scene. He has not yet reached the individual point where a player starts being singled out as one of the main stars of a tournament.
At the same time, he did not go completely unnoticed. He was mentioned in the honorable mentions sections after IEM Atlanta 2026 and the Budapest Major, which is also important. It means that even without major team achievements, his individual play remained noticeable to the analytical community.
What free-agent status means for Kvem
Kvem’s move into free-agent status looks like a chance for a reset rather than a step backward. He enters the market at a good age — 24 — already with experience at the international level, with a solid statistical base, and with a clear player profile of someone who can be useful to a team without relying on hype.
Now the main question is what kind of project will become his next one. After Passion UA, he looks like a player capable of strengthening an ambitious tier-2 lineup or becoming part of a new roster that wants to rise quickly through VRS and fight its way into bigger tournaments.

Kvem at Passion UA
Kvem has completed his time with Passion UA and officially entered the free-agent market. His period at the club did not become a story of a major top-tier breakthrough, but it was certainly not empty: a stable rating, titles on the tier-2 scene, Major experience, and individual honorable mentions leave him with a very workable profile ahead of the next stage of his career.
Now everything will depend on what kind of next opportunity he gets. And it is exactly free-agent status that may give Kvem the reset point after which his career starts moving at a different pace.
