Legacy have knocked FUT out of the upper bracket at BLAST Open Porto 2026, winning their Group B quarterfinal 2-0. The result sends the Brazilian roster into the semifinal, while FUT must now fight their way back through the lower bracket.
The match itself was tight from start to finish. Both maps were decided by just a few rounds, which makes the clean sweep even more impressive for Legacy. FUT never managed to find their rhythm, and that cost them dearly on the scoreboard.
Three Maps, One Clear Winner
The opening map, Ancient, was FUT’s pick, and it started as a close contest. Legacy edged the first half 7-5 before FUT pushed back to win the second half 5-5, but it was not enough. Legacy closed out the map 13-10, taking an early lead in the series and putting pressure on FUT from the very first map.
Dust2, Legacy’s own pick, followed a similar pattern but with a twist. Legacy dominated the first half 8-4, building a comfortable cushion. FUT fought back in the second half, winning it 7-5, and briefly threatened a comeback. In the end, though, Legacy held firm and sealed the map 13-11, finishing the series 2-0.
Because Legacy won both maps, the third map, Cache, was never played. As a result, the series ended faster than expected, and FUT had no chance to show what they could do on their own preferred map.
MVP of the Match
Santino “try” Rigal was the standout performer for Legacy, and arguably for the entire match. He finished with a 42-22 kill-death record, an ADR of 81.4, and a KAST of 72.3%. His rating of 1.31 was the highest on either team, well above FUT’s best performer, Dmytro “dem0n” Myroshnychenko, who posted a 1.16 rating with a 34-32 record and 85.0 ADR. Rigal’s consistency across both maps gave Legacy the extra firepower they needed to close out the series without needing a decider.

VRS Ranking Shifts
The result also shook up the VRS standings for both teams. Legacy entered the match with 1801 points at rank #5. After the win, they gained 39 points, bringing their total to 1840 and moving them up one spot to rank #4.
FUT, on the other hand, entered with 1852 points at rank #4. The loss cost them 18 points, dropping their total to 1834 and pushing them down one spot to rank #5. In effect, Legacy and FUT swapped positions in the rankings as a direct consequence of this quarterfinal result.
