Nikola “Lobanjica” Mijomanović and Jacob “Pimp” Winneche have reignited their long-running public dispute over the state of Counter-Strike 2. The latest exchange started on the third anniversary of CS2, when Lobanjica argued that the criticism he voiced from the beginning of the game had been justified.
Pimp responded by denying claims that he had discussed the game with Valve developers and accused Lobanjica of spreading false information.
Lobanjica says his early CS2 criticism was justified
Lobanjica used the anniversary to return to complaints he has raised since the early days of CS2, including the direction of development and the pace at which Valve addresses problems.
He also attached screenshots of ChatGPT responses comparing his criticism of CS2 with the more positive position he attributed to Pimp. The screenshots suggested that Lobanjica had been closer to the mark on issues such as movement, subtick, matchmaking and anti-cheat.

Lobanjica also directly targeted Pimp and criticized the Counter-Strike developers, asking how the team could have spent three years on the game while, in his view, major issues remain unresolved.

Pimp denies contact with Valve developers
Pimp responded directly to one of the claims made in the post, denying that he had ever spoken with a Valve developer about CS2.
“Haven’t spoken to a valve dev about the game… ever. Endless lying is endless boring.”
The exchange then became personal, with Pimp making a remark about Lobanjica and performance-enhancing drugs.
Another user later argued that Pimp had been overly optimistic about CS2 during its early years. Pimp disputed that characterization as well.
“What optimism? Where do you see me say what you think I say?”
Pimp asked for examples of statements where he had expressed the position being attributed to him rather than accepting the claim that he had consistently defended the state of the game.

Their CS2 dispute goes back to 2023
The argument is not new.
Lobanjica was already one of the most vocal critics of CS2 during the Limited Test in 2023. In September of that year, he argued that players should not simply accept a poor launch on the assumption that Valve would fix the game over several years. Pimp responded at the time by jokingly calling for Lobanjica to be sent to VALORANT.
Lobanjica had also explained to HLTV earlier in 2023 that his harsh criticism came from wanting problems to be addressed faster rather than from wanting CS2 to fail.
The disagreement resurfaced in April 2025, when Lobanjica specifically called out Pimp and ohnePixel over what he considered their earlier optimism toward CS2, arguing that many of the problems he had criticized were still present.
Three years after the launch of CS2, the two remain publicly divided not only over the state of the game, but also over what each of them actually said about it during its early years.
