Former Aurora captain Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli has announced that he will miss his personal broadcasts of the IEM Beijing 2026 quarterfinals due to ongoing voice problems. In a post on X on November 5, the Turkish Counter-Strike veteran revealed that his doctor had prescribed two days of cortisone treatment and instructed him to avoid speaking.

MAJ3R has been experiencing voice problems for several weeks. Despite the interruption, he plans to return for the tournament semifinals on November 7 and the Grand Final on November 8.

According to MAJ3R, his doctor prescribed cortisone treatment to address inflammation or swelling affecting his vocal cords. He was also instructed not to speak during the two-day treatment period.

As a result, the former professional player will be unable to conduct his usual Counter-Strike broadcasts on November 5 and 6.

MAJ3R stepped away from competitive Counter-Strike in July 2026 after representing Aurora, having previously played for Eternal Fire and Space Soldiers. Since then, he has continued his involvement in the scene through personal broadcasts, including coverage of major CS2 tournaments.
