Ninjas in Pyjamas have taken another important step in the race to qualify for PGL Major Singapore 2026. Krimbo’s team advanced to the Stake Pulse Beat III final, while their probability of receiving an invitation to the Major increased to 94% following this result.

NIP moved closer to the Major

Ahead of the decisive part of the season, NIP’s position already looked promising, but the victory over HEROIC significantly strengthened their standing. The team currently sits 14th in VRS, while occupying 26th place in the world ranking.

The key figure here is 94%. This is still not a mathematical guarantee of participation in PGL Major Singapore, but NIP are now in a situation where successfully finishing the current tournament could practically secure their qualification.

HEROIC failed to maintain momentum after Inferno

The semi-final series began with a confident 13:7 victory for NIP on Cache. HEROIC responded on Inferno with the same 13:7 score and took the match to Mirage, where a place in the final was at stake.

On the third map, the battle continued until the final rounds, but NIP took Mirage 13:11 and closed out the series 2:1. Thus, the team managed to recover after losing the second map and prevented HEROIC from completing the comeback.

The best individual performance belonged to HEROIC

Interestingly, nilo recorded the best individual statistics in the series. The HEROIC player finished the match with a 54–40 K–D and a 1.31 rating, while Brollan also delivered a strong performance with a 1.25 rating.

For NIP, stavn was the standout player. The Dane recorded a 52–38 K–D and a 1.26 rating, becoming his team’s top performer. Meanwhile, Krimbo finished the series with a rating of just 0.73, but even such a disappointing individual performance from the captain did not prevent NIP from reaching the final.

The victory is particularly important for the qualification race

NIP have recently gone through an inconsistent stretch: before facing HEROIC, the team defeated Liquid and Inner Circle, but also lost to Aurora and Falcons. That is why reaching the Stake Pulse Beat III final matters not only as an individual achievement, but also as an opportunity to earn crucial ranking points.

The team has also climbed significantly in VRS after a disastrous September, when they dropped to around 40th place. Now NIP are once again close to the top 15, and their Major qualification prospects depend almost entirely on their own results.

What’s next?

In the Stake Pulse Beat III final, NIP will face the winner of the MIBR vs 100 Thieves match. Another victory could further strengthen the team’s position ahead of the final allocation of invitations to PGL Major Singapore.

HEROIC will not be eliminated from the tournament immediately after this defeat. They will play the third-place match against the loser of the second semi-final and will also have an opportunity to improve their own position in VRS.
