MOUZ and Spirit meet in the semifinal of ESL Pro League Season 24, and the winner reaches the final. Spirit sit 1st in the VRS, while MOUZ rank 2nd. In addition, the two teams already played each other at this event on October 5, and MOUZ won 2–0.

Format & Tournament Specifics

This is a semifinal at ESL Pro League Season 24, so every map will matter. Spirit are the top-ranked team in the VRS and on HLTV, where they sit 1st. MOUZ, however, are 3rd on HLTV. Still, they come in on a four-match win streak and have already beaten Spirit once at this tournament. As a result, this rematch has a clear storyline.

Current Form

MOUZ: four wins in a row and a recent win over Spirit

MOUZ beat FURIA 2:0 twice, and they also won 2:0 against Spirit and M80. However, their only recent loss came against FURIA, 1:2. Therefore, they enter this semifinal with plenty of confidence.

Recent results:

  • MOUZ 2:0 FURIA
  • MOUZ 2:0 Spirit
  • MOUZ 2:0 FURIA
  • MOUZ 2:0 M80
  • MOUZ 1:2 FURIA

The main player to watch is Spinx. He posts a 1.16 rating, 0.70 kills per round, 0.59 deaths per round, 77.7% KAST, a 1.07 multi-kill rating, +1.14% round swing and 78.4 ADR. He also keeps his deaths low. However, he faces a tough duel here.

Spirit: two straight wins, but a recent loss to MOUZ

Spirit beat Falcons and M80 2:0, and they also won 2:1 against PARIVISION. However, they lost 0:2 to 1win and 0:2 to MOUZ. As a result, their form is less stable than MOUZ’s, even though they are still the top-ranked team.

Recent results:

  • Spirit 2:0 Falcons
  • Spirit 2:0 M80
  • Spirit 0:2 1win
  • Spirit 0:2 MOUZ
  • Spirit 2:1 PARIVISION

Their key player is donk. He posts a 1.40 rating, 0.91 kills per round, 0.67 deaths per round, 75.8% KAST, a 1.47 multi-kill rating, +2.97% round swing and 93.8 ADR. Moreover, he leads Spinx in rating, kills per round, multi-kill rating, round swing and ADR. For example, his ADR of 93.8 is far above Spinx’s 78.4. However, Spinx has fewer deaths per round and a higher KAST.

Head-to-Head

Spirit hold the edge this year. The two teams have met six times in 2026. Spirit won four series, and MOUZ won two. On maps, Spirit lead 10–6, and none of these 16 maps went to overtime.

Spirit won three series in a row at the start of the year. On February 8 at IEM Kraków 2026, they won 2–0 with 13–3 on Mirage and 13–8 on Dust2. On April 17 at IEM Rio 2026, they won 2–0 again, with 13–8 on Mirage and 13–5 on Dust2. On May 16 at PGL Astana 2026, Spirit took Nuke 13–2 and Dust2 13–3.

Then MOUZ hit back. On August 2 at BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 Finals, they won 3–1. They took Nuke 13–10, Mirage 13–4 and Dust2 13–8, while Spirit won Ancient 13–9.

On September 6 at BLAST Open Porto 2026, Spirit won 3–1. They took Nuke 13–6, Ancient 13–3 and Dust2 13–8, and MOUZ won Mirage 13–11.

Most recently, MOUZ won 2–0 at ESL Pro League Season 24 on October 5. They took Mirage 13–11 and Dust2 13–5.

Map Pool & Veto

Win rate over the past 3 months (MOUZ | Spirit):

  • Cache: 50% (6 maps) | 56% (9 maps)
  • Dust2: 64% (11 maps) | 73% (15 maps)
  • Mirage: 92% (13 maps) | 50% (10 maps)
  • Inferno: 100% (6 maps) | — (0 maps)
  • Nuke: 70% (10 maps) | 67% (6 maps)
  • Ancient: 33% (9 maps) | 90% (10 maps)
  • Anubis: — (0 maps) | 88% (8 maps)

Expected veto: MOUZ will almost certainly ban Ancient, where Spirit win 90% over ten maps and MOUZ win only 33%. In return, Spirit have a clear reason to ban Mirage, where MOUZ hold an elite 92% over 13 maps.

After those bans, MOUZ can pick Inferno, where they have won all six recent maps and Spirit have played none. Meanwhile, Spirit can answer with Dust2, where they win 73% over a large 15-map sample against MOUZ’s 64%. Anubis is another strong option for Spirit at 88%, while MOUZ have not played it recently. Nuke looks like the most likely decider, with 70% for MOUZ and 67% for Spirit.

VRS forecast: MOUZ currently have 1957 points and sit 2nd. A win would add 7 points, taking them to 1957 + 7 = 1964, and they would stay 2nd. A loss would cost them 37 points, taking them to 1957 − 37 = 1920 and dropping them to 3rd place.

Spirit have 2013 points and sit 1st. A win would add 2 points, taking them to 2013 + 2 = 2015, and they would stay 1st. A loss would cost them 44 points, taking them to 2013 − 44 = 1969, but they would still stay 1st.

Prediction

MOUZ have real arguments. They are on a four-match win streak, and they beat Spirit 2–0 on October 5 at this same tournament. In addition, Mirage and Inferno give them two very strong map options.

Still, Spirit look like the better side here. donk leads Spinx in most key stats, and Spirit have won four of the six series between these teams in 2026. Moreover, they have strong, proven map options in Ancient, Anubis and Dust2. However, MOUZ’s numbers on Mirage and Inferno show they can take at least one map, so expect a close series.

If MOUZ ban Ancient and win Inferno, they can push Spirit to a decider. Spirit will need Dust2 and a strong Anubis or Nuke to reach the final.

Projected result: Spirit 2–1 MOUZ
